Does Les Miles get fired or put on a big time hot seat?

If Lsu really went 4-8, Miles would get fired immediately. There's already a big enough portion of the fanbase that hates him.

That isn't going to happen...

If it did I'd expect him to be fired or resign.

ETA: Guess this would require going 0-8 or 1-7 in SEC.. They have three auto wins in McNeese, Eastern Michigan, and Western Kentucky.. A fourth pretty much auto win against Syracuse..

His buyout is way too big to be fired going 0-12, but LSU isn't going 4-8 anyways

If the fans made the decision, he gone.

I bet the administration gives him another year but expects something like 9 wins in the next season at least or hes out.

Regardless Les has been trending downward since 2011 and it hasn't reversed

He backdoored his way to the national title in 2007 with Saban's players

Had mediocre 2008 and 2009 seasons after that

Things started swinging up in 2010 but even 2010 had to be a letdown year(especially with the Tennessee miracle that could have been a loss)

It all came together in 2011 but its how you finish not how you start.

Then the decline started in 2012.

The question is how long does Les get to bring the program back to 2011 levels, which is now the expectation from the fans. How long will 9, 10 win seasons be tolerated?

Miles would likely step down on his own if he went 4-8.

Throw my PS3 controller out the fricking window. I'd go get it though, because I wouldn't want John Chavis eating it.

Check out scoreboard board during the game, that's your answer.

He'd be in the same situation as any of the coaches at Bama, Auburn, or Georgia.

It's about as likely as any of those teams going 4-8 as well.

2010: 10 wins, 2011: SEC Champions, 2012: 10 wins, 2013: 10 wins. Other than LSU and Alabama, what SEC school can claim an equal or better string of seasons since 2010? I'll wait.

1. I'll gladly bet with anyone in here LSU doesn't go 4-8

2. If we do Les is done.

Nah, he would do what any other practical person would do and cash in on that $12 million buyout

As would Kevin Sumlin, since it would be hard to explain losing to a 4-8 team.
