BUT; Bobby Jindal, with his forceful ways of putting his nose in everything and has to show his power, actually used all his voting leverage and political clout to save MILES in 2015.

2016 MIles is fired and the NEW GOV, MR Edwards, decides to use his democratic leverage to save a dollar after CLAIMING LSU may not have a football program because of budget cuts Voted strongly for COACH O to save 3 Million.

I distinctly remember F. King Alexander pleading to Jindal from his soapbox for a couple of years in an effort lobby against funding cuts. Acting like cuts would shut down summer school at LSU rendering football players ineligible in the Fall.

Ugh I forgot about that. I wonder how much Edwards' threatening to remove LSU's football program weighed on the decision making to hire O.

A WHOLE LOT.....

But ESPN, PELICAN SPORTS NETWORK, SEC RIVAL SCHOOLS, FINEBAUM, AND RUMOR MILLS, all seem to be more reliable information by spreading fake news or modified news.

I still like the one where LSU hired Coach O because he spoke the language.

Yeh, lets take a chance over a $40 Million dollar a year program for a marble mouth Cajun accent

There's a major rift between Orgeron and his two coordinators. He and Canada are at each other's throats right now.

This program is crumbling at a record pace right now.

Who instigated the notion that CEO would step away and let his top shelf coordinators do their job?

We heard that from the moment his staff was firmly in place. And honestly, I thought if Ed could back off and let those guys run their systems then LSU would be fine.

Now these rumors pop up that there is turmoil with the coaches. WTF?

Neither the OC or DC are catching hell for the teams performance. Ed deserves some, but so do those coordinators and those line coaches should take a fair share as well.

I think Les had the respect of his coaching staff in a way Orgeron will never have.
It wasn't because he was a masterful X&O coach as much as he was a straight shooter and good man. They respected that. Worked hard to field a quality team.

Coach O is a complete parallel to Alabama's Coach Dubose.

It's gonna be downhill even if he wins a few good games.

* He's learned.
* He's improved.
* He's hired good coordinators.
* Dabo was a career position coach who got a head coaching job without ever being a coordinator, too.
* Stop talking about his OM record. He wasn't ready then, but look at what he did at USC & LSU. LSU isn't OM. He'll succeed here.
* Building a fence.
* One team/one heartbeat.
* We're loaded with talent.
* Guice is best RB in the nation.
* DBU.
* Etling has really improved in fall camp.
* We've got more talent at WR than anyone in the conference.
* Arden Key is a beast (insert stat comparison to him and Myles Garrett).

It's not just that they rallied behind their coach. That was just emblematic of what they do about their team every year.
