Zero fricks given Dale, this is all about your "all-star".
You are just chum bait.

Look at the end of the day, Arkansas fans emulate what the players/coaches/staff/students feel. That is what "dictates" the state of the program. It is essentially the "notecards" for the fans. Same as any university. The fans like to think they are in control, but except for boosters, they aren't.
I don't think players or coaches on this team are actively seeking out a rivalry for many reasons. One because we have never really defined our success based on anyone except ourselves and our history. We don't have a "but did we beat Michigan/Auburn/OU that year" mentality to define our success and I don't think its something we want to start
I think to some extent the players feel pressure to "act" like LSU is a rival, but I think our players/coaches hate Bama or any other SEC team just as much. They are an obstacle to our success, not something that defines it. The players from the state probably have some sense of the LSU rivalry, but unless you are from south Arkansas you don't interact with the state of LA that frequently. It's more because of the Thanksgiving thing and the trophy than actual emotions of hate
Essentially, I think having a rival simply isn't in our DNA so to speak. No doubt Texas was a rival but that was too long ago to define the current administration or players attitudes
Long story short: we don't want a rivalry because it isn't who we are, not because we are afraid of coming up short

Well thought out answer.
Then why do you insist on posting in almost every Mizzou thread?
No one else, from any other fandom on this site gives a frick like you do. Why is that?

I meant more along the lines that they do it because they enjoy the reaction from your fans... a prime example being this thread.

To be honest, I had been to Columbia a bunch of times before there was even talk of Missouri joining the SEC. I had never thought of y'all as our equals and still don't. Let me finish. I already knew a lot about Missouri athletics without research because of people I know there and thought it would be fun to antagonize the fanbase that most everybody else was leaving alone, whether because of indifference or ignorance. I knew that y'all have no real deep history in any of the major sports nor an especially bright present save basketball (maybe, but Norfolk St renewed my suspicions).
Y'all have literally nothing on us except a Cotton Bowl, and we have a lot on you, not to mention a lot of cultural similarities make interactions even more heated. I have never thought Columbia was Southern but I do think some of southern MO is southern.
Long story short: y'all think of yourselves as Arkansas's equals or betters on just about everything and I think that assessment is horribly skewed

I don't think I've ever liked Arky fans more than I do right now.
Enjoy it while it lasts.

This thread was meant to bait the big fish. I got him and he's runnin'. But I'll reel him eventually.

Yep, I've been waiting.
Tell me why you insist on trying to bait every Mizzou thread if you don't give a frick about us.
