followed by the kind of post that declares us as rivals by posters of other schools (like you).

this board is getting really, really stale.

Kliff Kingsbury made that shite go and he's slowly but surely moving Texas Tech up the ladder skill and brand wise.

Kingsbury:
8-5
4-8
7-6

Tubberville
8-5
5-7
7-5

Seems like Kingsbury is just continuing the status quo at Texas Tech

What is the point of another Sumlin thread.

Literally nobody is arguing that he is a decent coach. . .not even aggy.

It has moved beyond the realm of debate and into the realm of accepted fact.

Move on.

No fricking way.

Florida's Rant rival is whoever will pay Muschamp to coach. So last year it was Auburn, this year it is USC.

Speaking of denial, how is that "Paterno didn't know anything" going?

Let's be real...

He's a black coach in the SEC, the hate towards him is not unexpected.

Yeah, we all just hate him because we are racist southerners.

Kind of like those aggy students who find it necessary to harass high schoolers who are visiting campus with racial epithets?

It is the SEC. Winning is not everything, its the only thing.

I'm not saying racism is a thing of the past, it most certainly is not. But if he was a top ten recruiter and won at least 10 games a season like clockwork then he could have glow in the dark green skin and wear assless chaps on the sideline and half of the schools here would hire them while their fans cheered.

The other half would already have hired someone who glows in the dark and wears chaps.

Football trumps everything in the South. The conference went from not allowing any non-whites on the team to being fully integrated in a handful of years.

With Sumlin, its that he's had a lousy couple of years and his team seems to be disintegrating. If he was still winning, and winning big, then whenever the vid of him stumbling around drunk was posted folks would be complaining that their coaches don't get wasted as much as he does.

Article Excerpt

It’s the holiday season, and in college football, that’s also the season for hiring and firing head football coaches.

Except if you’re a black college football coach hoping to be a head coach, it’s mostly just the season for firing.

Article goes on to compare the firing of Ruffin McNeill at East Carolina University vs. how college football writers were praising the University of Iowa for its patience with head coach Kirk Ferentz.

It doesn't surprise me that LSU fans assume black coaches can't be good at their job.

Yeah because the Washington Post would never publish an article with a slanted agenda. Sumlin is getting heat for not winning while being one of the top paid coaches in the nation, not because he's black

Why does everyone care about Sumlin's salary?

I wouldn't care if Less made 15 mil a year
