A 63-3 loss suggests they were hella conquered, and then some.

I guess he meant their starters were unconquered. Not the third string…

There isn't one. I hate FSU, but they were completely hosed by a corrupt system last year just so the media could get the matchups they wanted. That is what is wrong with CFB

I agree with the late Leach. Send the SEC/B1G off on their own semi-pro paid league, and let the rest of CFB Division I go back to scholarships and actual college football. I would hope A&M would join the latter in that scenario.

I've often wondered this. As "student" athletes , I think eligibility will be enforced. If they switch to employees then yeah they'll hang around til they get the call or can't physically do it. Also what about guys who don't cut it in nfl, or Canadian football(probably makes less than major university athletes) can they drop back down to minors

It's a legit question there really seems to be no rules on what can and cannot happen, we basically have two leagues I bet the NFL will fight it tooth and nail for the first time in their existence

FSU had nothing to play for.

What did UGA have to play for? Two diametrically different approaches by the teams. One flat out quit and the other finished their business. You can object to FSU not getting in, but giving them an excuse while UGA could have used the same one is ridiculous.

Truth is uga was whooping their arse with the starting qb. I can halfway understand their decision to just fold because it was a bit questionable they didn't get in. But the other half knows they would have gotten their asses handed to them in the playoffs.

And on that good for uga and their coaches to make a point of beating the piss out of them.

You know some of their starters played, right?

No. You didn't know that. I thought not.

This. When life knocks you down, you have 2 options: stay on throw ground and give up, or get up off the ground and fight your next battle. Both teams were disappointed by the CFP selection. One said "let's show the committee just how good we are" and the other team just quit.

The 12 team playoff will have teams in it with zero chance of winning but the 4 team playoff should never put in a team that virtually no one thought had a chance of winning, like 2023 FSU with no QB.

They were passed over for media ratings, because football isn’t decided on the field in college. It’s honestly a joke how corrupt the system truly is.

Hindsight makes it pretty clear that ESPN knew that Saban was going to exit as Bama's head coach.

As a former college scholarship athlete, I am convinced that the only fans who think that FSU didn't deserve a spot never played at the college level.

A lot of people on this forum never played a sport of any kind. Undefeated in a P5 conference, and they don’t deserve it? Just reinforces the idea of a beauty pageant. The MNC is a sham and has been for years

Name another team from a power conference that went undefeated and didn’t have the chance to play for a title. I’ll wait.

2004 Auburn 13-0. Despite being denied the opportunity, they didn’t bitch out like FSU. Instead they went on to beat the #8 ranked team in the Sugar Bowl.

They could have shown up and beat Georgia proving they belonged. They didn’t so they proved they didn’t.

Turns out how you look/play matters. That was not a good team.
