Don''t be calling me a Yankee....you need to look at a map and read a history book. I will grant you that we are in fact North of you in geography.

One is certainly not like the other two. I cannot wait to kick off this rivalry because Missouri and Arkansas have been fighting against each other since 1862, my friend.

I can also post the other Missouri regiment (2,000 Union soldiers) ambushing an Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana regiment marching on the road from the woods at Pea Ridge, Ark killing the second Confederate general on Day 1.

Missouri.

Baseball is dying as a mainstream activity and the Rams suck. Time to grab that brass ring Mizzou and take over your state.

Unfortunately, baseball is and will always remain king in eastern MO.

You are correct though, when the Rams leave Mizzou / SEC football has a great chance to fill the vacuum.

Yankees? frick no. There are no Missouri-natives who are true yankees.

From the Midwest? Yes, if you are from North of I-44. If you live South of I-44, you're from the South.

Someone gets it; I'm from the bootheel. To all of my Mizzou yankee brethren, keep rustling them jimmies

MIZZOU by state law cannot spend any tax money on any sports program. All monies came from donation or game attendance. We were the only team in the old big 8 and big 12 that had these contraints. The Big8 now 12 shared very little money. Texas came in and basically took over. So hence it was hard to compete under these funding issues.

None of the Texas public schools are allowed to spend tax dollars on athletics. You may have been the only one in the big 8, but you certainly weren't alone in that regard on the big 12.

Even t.u. gets no public funds for athletics.
