Ask around about how keeping a schedule like that affects one's family life.
It is well known about Nickie's son and his troubles that started in BR and I heard that things got much worse for the family once they got to Miami.
Be a great coach and all, but damn, working 16 hour days and such all year round is no way to have a life.

I think this hits on a very interesting point.

What makes a great coach?

Technicall all he has to do is win football games and keep the boosters happy. Saban is damn good at that, maybe the best.

My problem with him comes in the way he treats people like dog $hit in all walks of life. This includes his aministrative staff, reporters, casual fans, etc. Don't get me wrong, he does just enough arse kissing to get by, but it pains him to do so.

I hated to throw his family into it, but when the discussion of someone working those crazy hours all year long comes up, it is part of the equation.

Les is frequently seen around town and around the state with his family. He goes to his kid's baseball games and swim meets. When he is out and about, he goes out of his way to pose for a picture or sign an autograph when a bothersome fan ask for it.
Quality of life does matter and I think how you treat people, most importantly your family, will be how you are judged in life.

So he normally gets up at 6:15? I mean we had just fallen back when he said this. Does his internal body clock recognize falling back and then springs forward? Inquiring minds want to know. Who cares?

No Saban doesn't but he does work until about 10-11 pm..

While At LSU, someone asked him about his am schedule, he said he gets up around 7am...reads the paper etc.
