It's one thing to reach out to someone like this, but to follow up every couple weeks with phone calls and invitations, that shows he really cares. The mad hatter

I don't know why but everytime I see that picture of them hugging in tiger stadium gets me everytime. You can see how much that means to Sid. I really pray he gets to make it to the Alabama game and get his wish. les miles might not be the best coach in football and drives me crazy but he is the best coach in life and he will always have my respect. Hang in there Sid we are all praying for you and your family.

I tried to write something reflective, and how much I respect Les for what he is going for his young man. But, his strength and Les' kindness just cannot really be put into words.

He's a good man and that's a touching story. It really sounds like the kid finds comfort in Les' interacting with him.

We all suck if we complain.
Hope the fan sees that game and then some.

Really puts things in perspective. I hope the next time my team loses a game, I think of Sid and all the other kids out there fighting sickness and disease.

I've always liked Coach Miles. He is a class act.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;”

Miles

I really hope this kid lives to see the game. So sad. Thoughts go out to him and his family.

Damn, I just back from Mobile where we buried my uncle. I jumped on line to get my mind off of things for a moment. And now I'm reading this.

Both situations really let you know how there's so much more important things in life than sports. But one of this kid's last wish is to see a football game. I really hope and pray he gets his wish.
