Smart move. Nebraska job will be open after Miles is fired after losing 6 in a row to Bama.

I can't blame him for not wanting to play for his dad. Could you imagine that pressure? Thanks, but no thanks.

All sides agree it's best to not have daddy ball. Good luck to Ben.

Bill Curry's son wanted to play for him at Bama. Curry's wife said absolutely not. Derrick Dooley wanted to play for his Dad but he said no. Coincidentally both kids ended up playing at Virginia

A 210lb FB? He's a safety at best.

Pretty noble on the son's part, IMO. Trying to save LSU some money since they have the poors.

Likely would have never seen the field at LSU.

He may have technically had an LSU offer, probably more for appearances than anything, but the word has always been that Ben was going to go elsewhere and make his own way... Best for everyone involved.

Miles gives goal line carries to fullbacks. Kid Could have racked up tds. Miles may be a QB killer but he turns fullbacks into gods.

Remember all the excuse makers last year who said we tanked because our walk on fullback got hurt?

Would've taken him two seasons just to put on the 35-40lbs he needs to play FB there. He would've been recruited over by then.

Smacker Miles - U Texas as a scholarship swimmer for Lady Longhorn S&D Team
Manny Miles - Preferred Walk-On QB at UNC
Ben Miles - Committed to Nebraska

No way that kid was gonna be at LSU. They want their kids to go find their own way. Which I think is pretty interesting and commendable.

Also, that's a shite ton of athletic talent in that family...

Wasn't there just an article that came out saying Alabama is broke as shite?

I coached Ben at U-High. Still talk to him fairly often. Never was coming to LSU.

Courtesy play all the way. If his name was Ben Doe he'd be pledging Sigma Chi & trying to figure out to ween off his high school gf.
