Miles is a pretty funny guy and I've always respected him for being himself in that way.

Miles has the players feeling the want to...

I like him...he is cool. Nobody beats Spurrier though....he used to have a live call in show at UF years ago (with a dump button of course) and his eyes would roll when some callers asked the dumbest questions...he usually gigged them and they never realized it.

One of my favorite quips is when at USC an overweight media guy approached Spurrier and told him that his mother used to date him when they were both at UF....Spurrier looked at the guys overweight physical size and said...naw...I dont think so.

Sumlin - smooth operator oozing confidence

Les - funny guy regarded as an idiot due to his offensive game plan

Agreed.

Miles is pretty funny but Spurrier is king of the quips.

they are both very funny, but in different ways.

spurrier is extremely acerbic, makes very cutting remarks that are funny because there is always a little nuget of truth in them. he may be getting a bit bitter in his old age.

miles is the charlie sheen of cfb--minus the substance abuse & bipolar tendancies. you just never know what is going to come out of his mouth. but you don't want to miss it, because it IS going to be funny, unexpected, snl worthy goofy & entertaining. miles will always give you something to talk about around the water cooler. i love the guy!

He seems a bit slow in some areas..but overall a very likable respectful guy. This is why kids want to play for him

Here are two things I've noticed about LSU fans: 1) They are terrible at logical thinking. For example, they think "I'm neither jealous of Les Miles nor mad mad at him" entails "I think Kevin Sumlin is a more desirable coaching candidate than Les Miles." 2) For a fan base that has enjoyed as much success as they have, they are amazingly insecure. Learn to laugh at yourself. Luckily for you, your coach is not insecure and can laugh at himself.

One thing I've learned about A&M......nobody gives a fuk what you think.

Also, you can laugh at Les for comments just as much as laugh with him.

One of the beat writers out of Memphis, Ron Higgins, was asked what makes CLM different from many college football coaches. His answer was "he's a human being. All the time".And so as to not get into an anti Little Nickie thread, I won't say what Higgins called him.

Two things I have learned about some A&M fans.

1. Think that they are smarter than they really are.

2. Like to generalize people.

Well, that's definitely me.

Criticism accepted. Please restrict the scope of my previous comments to the LSU poster I was responding to.

Well, he couldn't do that with yours without cutting himself since it's in pieces.
