He did - and the temptation when you hear the story is to say it must have had an effect on him and changed the way he looked at trivial things... but I'm not sure if that is true or not.

He was fortunate to have a speedy and complete recovery but I think his strange sensibilities have more to do with just Les being a different kind of guy than they do with any one experience in his adult life.

"Coach do you prefer to play Arkansas or A&M on Thanksgiving weekend?"

"Well we look forward to playing them both but we'll have to spread them out because we can't play them both on the same day"

Isn't that amazing for what it says about football changing in the last few decades? When you see Les standing next to guys like JJ or Mett he is relatively dwarfed... and yet he played OL at a premiere college program a few decades ago

I think I deciphered thus! Are you asking, "Are you mad at Les Miles, or jealous of him?"

I will assume that is what you wanted to ask me.

The answer is, "neither."

I knew a guy who was an All-American from UA who played many years in the league. He played college ball in the late 50's/early 60's. Guy barely came up to my shoulders. He played both ways on the line and won a natty. It always cracked me up.

There's a very fine line though, if you make a joke about Jefferson all his supporters will erupt in an angry frenzy and say GTFO and flip you off. So obviously it doesn't work both ways, it still hurts them that they were wrong for 4 years. At least Les has a sense of humor.

I am very proud that Les Miles is coaching in the SEC. He is the best Character in all of college football and ranks right up there with Saban as a Coach!

Here are two things I've noticed about LSU fans:

1) They are terrible at logical thinking. For example, they think "I'm neither jealous of Les Miles nor mad mad at him" entails "I think Kevin Sumlin is a more desirable coaching candidate than Les Miles."

2) For a fan base that has enjoyed as much success as they have, they are amazingly insecure. Learn to laugh at yourself. Luckily for you, your coach is not insecure and can laugh at himself.

Les Miles seems like he would be a pretty cool coach to play for...no doubt. For some reason though he comes across as such an idiot to me. Hes definitely a likable guy and I actually felt kinda bad for him after the NC game. As a BAMA fan I want the Tide to beat him every game but I also like seeing him coach in the SEC.

He's looking forward to having the opportunity to have the want to persuade you to enjoy the way he vocalizes his actions. He would like that you have the drive to realize the extremities of all his actions and the need for him to go out and help his team win every week. He also observes that the National Championship was a low point, but it has given his team the drive and competitive nature to go out and prepare for a chance at success week in and week out; and hopefully their want and desire will prevail.

Hope that helps
