Ok try to keep up
When you lose, usually you are trailing at the end of the game. YA know, losing. So Les has 47 career losses. He's 130-47 according to Wikipedia actually.
Yet he has only lost 23 times while trailing in the 4th? Now I don't want you to get lost. So if he lost 23 times while trailing in the 4th, and pay attention, that would mean he's lost 24 games when he wasn't trailing in the 4th. (47-23 = 24)

I see the problem. He is 102-26 at LSU, so this stat is only taking his LSU tenure into account.
No need to be a condescending dick.

I'm naturally a condescending dick. Maybe OP should specify what his stats are about

Agreed. Herbie mentioned it last night and ESPN stats tweeted it out too, neither qualified it as being LSU-only either.

I take it this means the current head coaches of those programs?
EDIT: I was wrong. It is Les Miles' tenure at LSU. So LSU's record since 2005 when Miles took over.
p.s. I don't know about the other programs but ESPN said "since 2005."

The 24-23 stat is LSU's record(Les Miles Tenure) in games decided in the 4th Qtr that we were trailing SINCE 2005
The other schools mentioned are the closest schools win percentage wise to LSU's over that period.
OP should update and clarify.

He's also 78-3 when not trailing in the 4th (OT?). He's got that going for him.

He has 47 losses
For his entire career he does, but at LSU he only has 26 losses. Two were in OT after never trailing in the 4th quarter (UT '05, UK '07), one was on the final play after never trailing in the 4th quarter (Clemson '12). Personally, I think that should count as trailing in the 4th quarter, since I would consider the end of the quarter as part of the quarter.
