I don't like any scenario that has LSU competing with Les for recruits.

I think he should take over for Lee Corso.

If he coaches again the B10 should be where he looks, his style of football there.

It's quite possible. Texas could have an interest in Miles and he would recruit well for the program. Not only is LSU a loser in this scenario, but it makes it tougher for Texas A&M in the recruiting battles.

Anyone who thinks Miles ends up at Texas probably thinks he was close buddies with Walter White

I believe his best bet is to replace the Kansas State coach when he hangs it up (Bill Snyder I think is the correct name?)

Les is gonna end up as a coordinator at some B10 team -- and probably not Michigan -- before he returns to the HC ranks.

Les would retire before he'd take a job as a coordinator at the college level. Use your head. A lot worse coaches than les have had no trouble finding HC jobs after being fired. Only thing against Les is his age

If Kiffin moves on, Les would slide right into his spot. I haz connections and they heard things.

I like Miles, but he's damaged goods. Miles did a great job recruiting (and had great recruiters on staff) and he has a very likable personality to attract recruits, but his passing offense got so bad it became a national running joke. LSU has only had one coach since I have been alive that didn't get good to elite recruits and that was Mike Archer in the 80s. It's possible we could lose out on some recruits in Texas, but it wouldn't be anything of any major significance.

Also, I'd be pretty shocked if Texas went after Les Miles. Miles needs an elite D with the kind of offense he likes to play and Texas might have the worst D in all of football right now.

Hmmmm bama plays Tennessee this week. Huge rivals. Starts thread about LSU's former coach. Interesting.

Here's the deal, Touchdown. Les Miles is a moron and is probably brain damaged. He's not taking any program anywhere, because he is a moron. He should be coaching high school. No college team with plans to win a NC will hire him as head coach.

LSU gave Miles years worth of chances to get his dumb arse in gear, and he never did. If Miles were a military officer, he would have been "relieved of his duties" years ago, not a month ago.

But Miles has the last laugh on LSU: he's stolen tens of millions of LSU dollars impersonating a head football coach.

LSU and LSU fans were stupid to put up with Miles for so long. They were WAY too nice to him and gave Miles WAY too much time to steal money and screw up the program.

That's the blunt "Trump Truth" without the sugar-coating.

Penn State is not insane. They won't hire a guy around whom rumors of immoral behavior swirled while he was an assistant at Michigan. Penn State will hire a squeaky-clean YOUNG head coach with a future. Miles is DONE at this level of college football, IMHO.

I think Penn State would be a good spot.

Don't think Texas would hire him, but the recruiting would be top notch.

All Les needs to do is hire an OC that isn't his buddy and let him run the offense.

LSU did.

And if LSU could only hire a moron after winning a national title, well then we are fricked with the next hire.
