I agree. As long as Bama beats them I would like them to be a winner every week.

The LSU fans I know knew things were going straight down the toilet at Miles fiasco. Then came the odd timing of firing and the lack of coaching search-only to hire coach O.

A series of mind-boggling awful decisions that made even Corky from life goes on face palm. Honestly, the fans I know we're saying "looks like my fall Saturday's are free" after those string of events.

Also, with the same AD/administration why would any rational person think a good decision will be made now?

As a Bama guy I looked forward to that game the most. Always competitive, the best of the best athletes playing big boy smash mouth football. Its actually boring beating the pulp out of everyone.

I'm hoping the Tigers fire O asap and get a real coach before too much damage is done.

I completely agree with you! As with any competitive sport, there's no fun in beating the shite out of everybody. There's no arrogance or inflated self esteem involved here...fans want the excitement and apprehension found around competitive games. if that's not present, why even bother with it.
Is this what the "hate every team but mine" crowd want the conference to look like?

shadow, thanks for the compliment but if you had watched LSU's games this season you would know that we can't compete with mediocre teams. You guys will destroy us by running the ball down our throats. We had trouble scoring against Troy so I'm sure Bama's defense will destroy our line. You will have a better perspective after we get our asses handed to us by Florida and Auburn.

We hear numerous rumors and reasons as to the cause of our demise but whatever the cause it's real.No one knows how long we will be down but I think it's gonna be a long time. Unlike most LSU fans I'm not a Bama hater except for the week we play Bama. But I won't be hating on Bama this year as our problem is not Bama but our own program is in shambles.I'll remain a Tiger fan but probably a sad one for a long time.

I'm afraid that LSU and Tennessee are going to have to endure a good, old fashioned rat-killing....I mean hiring a guy who'll come in and totally clean house. There have been too many past "patches" made to these respective programs, and as a result, there's not a lot of cohesion among the overall coaching/administrative staffs. It's time to tear it down and completely start over with a guy that knows what he's doing (past success) and has the energy to weather the storm and see it through to the end.

Is this still gonna be an 8pm game time on CBS? Surely CBS and the SEC are gonna try to switch it to UGA/AU if both keep on winning.

I'm not. I thought you were trying to be decent in your original post. We suck, and it's sad beyond the fact LSU-Bama is irrelevant now and will be for some time. I hope CBS has a way not to show that game in prime time this year.

It's sad that our liberal-arse, space-eyed, dipshit governor (Taco Bel Edwards), campus president, idiot athletic director and Farmer Fran have helped accelerate the escalator ride to the bottom. Miles is responsible for the quarterback issues and problems on both sides of the lines because of his awful recruiting in recent years.

But Orgeron was on a couple of those staffs, and his strength is supposed to be recruiting. We were getting shoved around on the offensive line in the CHATTANOOGA game. Troy completely dominated LSU's offensive line for most of four quarters. Orgeron is meddling in the offense (something of which he knows nothing) and has turned Aranda's defense into a soft puddle of goo. Orgeron is supposed to be a motivator, but this team is disorganized and disinterested as frick. Its two best players, Guice and Key, are just biding their time until November, and if they could find a way to fake injuries (and that already might be happening), they would.

And the recruiting atrophy really hasn't set in yet. Wait until running backs join quarterbacks, linemen and receivers in staying away from LSU in droves. It will take five years or more to overcome the rot and decay Orgeron will leave behind thanks to an illogical buyout Alleva put in his contract.

So, no, I'm not offended. I'm realistic.

I did not necessarily want Orgeron, but I was never sold on Herman and I knew people involved with LSU who said that Fisher was never really in the cards either. The people who actually wanted the job after Miles was fired and the way that it happened was few and far between.

How would anyone know who wanted the job? Seems as though Alleva went on full tilt after Herman took Tx job and immediately hired O.
