Who can't argue that Alabama grad Mark Womack knowing approved schedule changes less than a year in advance that gave his beloved Crimson Tide an unfair advantage and put their biggest rival at a disadvantage
I know it's the company line for many LSU fans, but you ppl don't honestly believe some guy was given free reign to schedule opponents for schools he likes and dislikes? You aren't that simple minded right?

Bama has great teams. But, we'll never know just how great given an embarrassingly pathetic schedule! Just what if Bama had to play the GA Dawgs and the Gators in the same year that LSU is going to beat them, again, in Tuscalooser? Just say'n what a lot of us in the S.E.C. Believe ... Not jealous, just pissed off at how unfair current scheduling is ...

I'd enjoy a LSU fan standing up and pointing out just how stupid you are for believing in these conspiracy theories.
No "conspiracy" at all.
Just facts.
1- the schedule for LSU and Bama changed in 2012 and 2013.
These changes made Bama's schedule easier and LSU's more difficult.
2- the changes were made within 12 months of the start of the season, and there was a pretty good sense of the relative strength of the teams in the east.
3- whoever was in charge of the schedule....could have been an Idaho grad....should have stepped up and said that this schedule was contrary to the competitive spirit of the league as it created a huge imbalance. Made LSU's schedule significantly more difficult while making Bama's significantly easier.
4- regardless of whether or not Womack intended to favor Bama, the fact that he has deep roots to the school does call into question a potential conflict of interest.
None of that is conspiracy. All is factual. The SEC failed to do its job in creating a level playing field.

You serious? No one knew UT and Mizzou were going to be such terrible teams. Mizzou was the import people were expecting to actually be successful in year one

Schedules rotate. Having to introduce 2 new teams screwed things up a bit. Why is it that Saban is the only coach who voted for the league to go to a 9 game schedule?

tGumps have no answers...
A program whose success is predicated more on scheduling than on-field accomplishments as of late...yet their 'fans' seem awestruck by this?
It's called duck and cover people, duck and cover.

But but but but we play the mighty Tigers every year.
Oh wait their schedule is hard cause they play Bama every year. Now I get it. I would be mad too. Maybe we should count the spring game as SOS

What's the gump SOS look like the rest of the way?
It's going to look pretty shitty by the end of the season. You know, with LSU being 8-5.

1- Michigan is irrelevant. This discussion is only about SEC scheduling, and more specifically the rotating opponent from the east.
2- Florida and USC were predicted 2nd and 3rd in the preseason by a wide margin over 4th and 5th place Mizzou and Tennessee. Note that both of the former had several votes for winning the conference while the latter had none.
3- apparently you have no reasonable answer to my statement, probably because none exist. So instead you follow the typical Gump spin play book and call names.
Let me reiterate my position. Don't care if the computer arbitrarily spit this schedule at some point their should have been some human oversight.
LSU was scheduled to play the team ranked 7 in the SEC as their rotation opponent, and the perm was Florida projected third. Kentucky was replaced by the #2 team USC.
Bama with their permanent opponent ranked 5th lost #1 UGA and replaced them with no 4 Mizzou.
So are you denying that was greatly advantageous to alabama and equally detrimental to LSU?
I personally have no problem with the permanent opponent and realize they are cyclical.
But you say "there is a rotation". Right and that rotation had UGA and Bama playing the last two years.
Te SEC should have said "were leaving the top teams alone, and will make any changes near the bottom."

Interesting. Seems like in 2011, LSU was bragging about playing the toughest schedule and how they welcomed it, and now they're whining about having a mediocre schedule because "Bama's is easier".
You guys have played one team with a pulse. And lost. DWI.
