Because the ncaa has to make sure all athletes are treated equal. A hotel may refuse to business to a gay player!!

3 FBS schools

Wow, didn't realize. But then again the FBS doesn't have much to do with baseball now. I assume you mean D1?

That's the first amendment, bruh. HB1523 exists to remind gay people that Mississippi doesn't like them.

Not exactly. A member of the KKK can't deny service to an AA just because they are black. That is where the mix up is. The Civil Rights movement and LGBT movement aren't the same. You don't have the right to make a priest marry you if you are gay. That's what this law is saying. You can be gay but you can't make somone who is fundamentally against LGBT marry you or anything like that.
They have the right to deny making you a gay wedding cake.

The law wasn't needed. It hasn't gotten to that point yet but fear mongering made it happen.

I am so glad this session is over so that can't do anymore damage. I am for the most part conservative but pragmatic. Anyone thinking this wasn't going to do more harm than good is an idiot.

Although I think the rule is dumb and Mississippi will stay years behind all other states, this guy had a point:

quote:

Michael Moore ?@MMFlint
I have asked my distributor NOT to book my film in any theater in North Carolina due 2 their bigoted law against LGBTQ ppl. They have agreed

quote:

Jon Swerens ?@jonswerens
@MMFlint Doesn't it feel great having the liberty to decline doing business with people you disagree with?

SO YOU ARE TELLING ME THERE'S A CHANCE?

Last Four In: Wake Forest, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Notre Dame
First Four Out: Maryland, Georgia, Duke, Pittsburgh
Next Four Out: Tennessee, High Point, Long Beach State, Boston College

Not really. You still have Florida, LSU and @UGA in front of you plus Missouri. You might not even make the SEC tournament

I was expecting some comical bullshite in this new projection, but have been pleasantly surprised.

If they projected anyone within 300 miles of College Station to have a higher national seed than Aggy, I was gonna blow a GD gasket.

Turbo-meltdown avoided...for now.

Add to that the recent anti-gay law passed in Mississippi. Those schools may be lucky to get bids to the regional in Antarctica.

North Carolina passed a similar law a week before Mississippi did and NC State is projected to host as a national seed.
