What are you talking about? OM is gonna thrash Alabama, get to the NCAA tourney, and then sign Kennedy a five year extension.

What will it take for that azz hole to knock Villanova out ? DAMN what bias. I know hes from Philly but 18-12 with a few bad loses. And a 22 point loss to Bama on a neutral site. Guess is so Big East biased it laughable.

I haven't checked but you know somewhere on the 'Nova boards, someone has had to ask "How the funk did we lose to Bama?"

But the SEC rant said Tennessee had no shot of getting into the NCAA tournament.

Long shot. But that long shot is getting shorter and shorter. Road game and at home against MU are still tough, but winnable. As of now, you get A&M in the SECt and then a rematch with UK. Can see you winning the first. Don't know you'll knock UK off twice.

We are both bubble teams and we still had Engstrom then for post depth. Not that hard to understand how they lost.

UT wants to root for OM against us tonight and for Florida against UK to finish the season. I don't agree with Lunardi on a lot of his bubble rankings right now, but I do believe he is right in clumping those teams together. IMO Bama moves in front of UT with a win against OM, but UT will move back in front of Bama with a win against Mizzou. If UK beats UF they automatically move in front of both teams entering the SECT. The SECT will be one of the more exciting conference tournaments this year as far as the bubble goes. I still think the committee will select at least 3, maybe 4 SEC teams.

Good point about Engstrom, the difference maker.
I forgot about his three points

Don't be ignorant. We have 2 post players now, one of which is 6'6" and can't play a lick of defense. With all of the close games we have had and how post players have been destroying us with Gueye on the bench, with Engstrom we'd pretty much be a lock for the tournament.

He really did make a big difference. We all underestimated how much he does affect the game when he plays. Also having another set of 5 fouls was important too.

With Engstrom we probably don't lose any of those Decemeber games and we beat TN and Awbarn. Damn it all.

FIFY. Engstrom wouldn't have done much to help the major offensive woes we had against Auburn.

Engstrom will never be a star but he is light years better than Gueye, particularly as a defender and screening off the ball.

If he doesn't get hurt, Bama still isn't going to the final four, but they have at least 5 more wins and are talking about where they'll be seeded in the dance.

I wish you were right and with a full season of play, he could have developed so your opinion may have been proven. Statistically, he was not much better than Jacobs. Guy from the stands would be as good as Moose.

Maybe next year the light will come on brighter for Engstrom.

I'd take Gueye over Jacobs any day of the week. The only thing Jacobs can do is inconsistently score (though he has been rebounding a bit better as of late).

The point though isn't that he is that much better than the ones we have, it is that we only have 2 post players without him and when Gueye is taken out opposing post players abuse us in the post.

Iona and BYU were 14 seeds last season as at-large teams, but that was only because BYU refuses to play on Sundays.

If Tennessee makes the tournament, they won't get a 14 seed. Lunardi sucks.

Mizzou needs to let us win tonight. It will help them get a 10 or 11 seed and help the conference by getting another team in. A win over Mizzou on the road and A&M at home most likely gets us in.

Was just gonna post this. That game still hurts because we got matched against the 3 seed Xavier playing in the northeast somewhere. I don't care what you say, we were better but the refs wanted Xavier. We had a 10 point lead in the 2nd half and they started getting some absolutely horseshite calls.

We are missing a big man as well who is 10x better than Engstrom.
