Athletes are not starving. They just arent. You are not required by law to play college sports. If you are a big time high school athlete you can refuse to participate at the college level and go to school like everyone else.

While true, Universities make a ton of money on these kids (let's be honest - kids). Your argument to student-athletes not seeing any of the money earned by their actions is "not play". I can't say I can agree with your logic.

You don't have to agree with it, but it remains true. If you are a hot shot QB and you think you are being exploited by the NCAA system and a schooly, room, board, books etc are not enough. Then.don't.play.college.football.

My response to these type of complaints is this: Jay Barker.
The guy has no talent or skill of note. Yet he has a job in radio where he doesn't have to do any show prep and has unlimited vacation days. He trades endorsements for services all over town. He's married to country singer and has a nice house in Mountain Brook.

I'm pretty sure I was suggesting that the societal issues of domestic violence is why Alabama may be mentioned. Just as Alabama served as an example of spending in collegiate athletics in the fall out of the O'Bannon law suit.

I'm sure he will have something to say about Alabama on the Taylor fiasco soon enough.
