In 1980-81 we had Herschel as football POY and Dominique as Basketball POY. Our baseball team sucked that year and I can't find any individual POY info for SEC baseball

1984 - Bo Jackson for Football and Baseball, Charles Barkley for Basketball.

2010 - Cam Newton Football, Hunter Morris Baseball

I believe LSU is still the only SEC school to have a Heisman winner, a Golden Spikes winner, and a Naismith winner (both men and women) - although not all in the same year, obviously.

But it wouldn't be in same year. The 2015 football season is on the 2015-16 academic year.

no

1. Bo Jackson didn't play baseball in 1984. he was injured all season
2. The SEC POY has only been around for baseball since 1993
3. Bo Jackson never even made the all-conference team in baseball

The mythology of Bo, Barkley, and the Big Hurt grows. Awarding Bo Jackson awards he didn't even win.

They deserved them, dammit. Some dude named Michael Jordan won the bball POY instead, and Doug Flutie won the heisman on one hail mary. Let's see them play two sports!

LSU did it in '68

Did not recall that one. Closest I can recall was the 88-89 school year. Hodson-Football runner up poy; Jackson, basketball poy; Mcdonald, baseball poy.

Strong Possibilities: Brandon Allen, Johnathan Williams, Hunter Henry, Alex Collins, Brooks Ellis, Henre Toliver

No way Allen wins it. He just isn't that good.

When was the last time a TE was the player of the year? As good as Henry may be, no way he wins it.

Ellis isn't that good, and Toliver hasn't done anything.

I do think there is some chance of Williams or Collins winning it. Unfortunately, for that to happen, I think the other one of them would have to get hurt.

Like someone else said, early money has to be on Chubb.

While calendar year may not be as legit as school year, doing this in any way would be very impressive.

It would be the mother of all moral victories.
