Hard to believe. Part of me wonders if they mean "history of NCAA tourney."

If it wasn't ... I'd be shocked.

I think, don't quote me on this, but I think SCAR had one of the largest in a half, 33 pt comeback in the second half against Cincy maybe close to 20 years ago. Under Fogler, I remember that much.

In the history of college basketball somebody has likely blown a 12 point lead with 35-40 seconds left.

But it's definitely the largest blown lead in the final minute of the NCAA tournament.

The Ags scored 22 points in the first half and scored 14 points in the last 44 seconds of regulation.

there actually hasnt. the previous record for biggest blown lead within the final minute of a NCAA division 1 basketball game was 11. UNLV did it in 2005 and canisius did it back in december

Truly memorable. Almost as impressive as winning back to back championships. Almost.

With the way that game went, we were seriously due for a scoring barrage. That was our worst game ever.

That amazing comeback/choke depending on your point of view required that A&M recognize that the standard "foul like crazy and hope they miss" was not going to work. Usually, this recognition is so late that the team just mails it in to the end.

Kennedy (or somebody else, player or coach) sold the idea of going out and taking the game instead of hoping the Panthers missed free throws. Everybody bought in and made it happen with only 1.9 sec to spare.

UNI made a bunch of mistakes in that final 30 sec. They succumbed to the Aggie pressure and the pressure of the moment.

Congrats. But this is more like the fat woman at work who brags about losing 10 lbs. How the hell did you get that far behind Northern Iowa in the first place? This wasn't Notre Dame's comeback to end UCLA's 88 game win streak.

This is some well-heeled bitterness from you, tbh

No bitterness. If another SEC team had been down by 10 with :30 left to a directional school wouldn't you have wondered how that happened in the first place?
