A&M, Tennessee, LSU, and Alabama the only ones that I think can seat over 100k.

As mentioned above, A&M has the SEC attendance record, but won't get close to that again. Was a one-year-only seating capacity that came during the stadium rebuild in '14.

Some schools go "over capacity" (still not exactly sure how) but Penn State and Michigan are two of them. Alabama never reports beyond official capacity (101,821) but if I had to guess, the 2011 Alabama-LSU game probably had the most people (sidelines, media, etc.) in BDS at a single time

Arkansas used to report every single person in the building, not just paid attendance. Including media, concessions, security, ushers, team personnel, players, coaches, etc, that meant an extra 2,000-3,000 people on top of the official capacity.

You can fudge the numbers a bit with SRO tickets as well, but I'd bet most schools are using that way of counting over actual paid atendence.

And then there are schools that don't need to do that, genius.

Your sissy high school stadium only holds 62,000 and y'all still can't fill it

Rather have a sissy high school stadium and a mens football team vs Texas with its big-arse stadium and a sissy high school team.

A&M's was well over 110,000, but that was in year 1 of the stadium rebuild and is not possible anymore.

The trend of cramming as many people as possible has passed. Many stadiums across the country have reduced their seating capcaity in an effort to create more comfortable seating.

So Texas, you dont know yours. Got it

The actual is probably +10k over capacity since they were letting anybody in without a ticket for $100 a head for the 2019 LSU game . There were thousands of people standing in the aisles

From a U of Texas publication.
"While the institution prepares for full-capacity crowds (reaching close to 100,000) in the fall, all the hard work will pay off in September."

We weren’t cramming anybody, that’s just the number of seats we had when we were redoing the stadium during one season. It was done in phases.
