2005? That was a horrible year for USC numbers wise compared to what they had been putting up. They put up 9 points against UCLA that year which broke their streak of 63 consecutive 20pt games.

Not sure if serious? This is the only year he was their full time OC.

Under Kiffin in 2005 the USC offense produced numerous school records, averaging 49.1 points and 579 yards per game and becoming the first in NCAA history to have a 3,000 yard passer (Matt Leinart), two 1,000 yard rushers (Reggie Bush and LenDale White), and a 1,000 yard receiver (Dwayne Jarrett). Steve Smith fell a few yards of also surpassing 1,000 yards in receiving.

Is it worth the risk? Some of your loony fans were calling for Saban to completely overhaul his philosophy after the Sugar Bowl. Let Kiffin come in and frick shite up.

It seems to me that the other fanbases are by and large for this move. Not to many people are upset from this being a possibility that I can see.

I'd drive to fricking Tuscaloosa and personally help him unpack.

My bad, I was referring to 2006. He was the OC then as well and had a drastic decline.

Yes he did. Once those guys moved on to the NFL he was done.

that ucla loss was 06, jd booty was qb. kiffin deserves little credit for the 05 offensive success. look at who he had playing. any shmuck off the street could have coached that talent to an undefeated pac10 title. that offense was also developed by norm chow, who left after the 04 season.

if anything, kiffin probably held that 05 offense back. if you look at the box scores for their games, that team rarely played 4 great quarters of football. they had a few lackluster 1st half performances.

You put Saban and Kiffin in the same film room, with their egos, 10 bucks says both their heads implode the room and half the football complex. The comedy between the two would be epic.

As far as records go as a head coach in reference to being a coordinator, I'd be willing to toss that out the window seeing what Auburn's defensive coordinator did after laying a goose egg as a head coach the previous season.

And that may be a huge question mark moving forward. The guy will have ZERO credibility when talking with recruits and their parents.

Exactly, what sports minded adult doesn't know what a douche this guy is ? Not to mention the Jefferies pumping gas story was just rehashed on national tv last week.

Ask USC fans what they think about Lane's play calling.

See Notre Dame's goal line stand versus U.S.C. in 2012.

It is amazing this douche continues to land gigs.

All those that mention his success at USC fail to mention Steve Sarkisian was also very much involved and unlike frick Boy has actually had some success outside USC. Maybe he was the brain behind the operation, not to mention in those years The Condoms had incredible talent

You think they are upset? They are laughing their asses off right now hoping Kiffin will land at Bama and frick up everything like he's done at his last 3 stops.

2005 USC had 2 Heisman winners in the backfield and an NFL roster for the GOAT offense of all time.

A chimp could have produced the same results.

I see where all the naysayers are coming from and I don't necessarily disagree. Many Bama fans are acting like this is some kind of big splash hire, and I just don't see it.
