I wouldn't be against this, if I thought he'd be here awhile. I just don't trust the guy. He'd have a little success and bolt.

Don't destroy their narrative. It somehow makes them feel better to believe that Jimbo's plane was wheels up on the way to Baton Rouge when LSU chose to back out of the deal.

Yeah, having O on board for this if Miles gets canned would probably help Lane's odds,....those two seem to freaking love coaching together and O could probably ease some concerns about character flaws if they come up. If they could keep Aranda around too, and D. Craig....watch out.

I don't know why it is doing that, I think my phone is autocorrecting to Tiffin instead of Kiffin !

to where? He's not gonna get another HC gig in the NFL and LSU is a fine final landing spot for someone without NFL aspirations.

Yea i don't see Kiff bolting if he has success here. Where is he going to go? USC, nope already did that.

The NFL, i doubt it even though they love them some used coaches.

SABAN is not retiring. He's going to win about 10 more ships then retire.

I believe Herman just signed a big extension. Could possibly be a pretty hefty buyout.

I think he makes 3 million plus the buyout is big. This isn't an issue though money wise. Its funny to be stupid and joke that LSU is broke. It isn't though, especially considering our Athletics is privately funded. For the longest time LSU athletics was one of the only college programs that only used private money.

Now we do have the issue of F. King and our pr department is down right dog shite. They can't spin fricking shite, nor does F. King want to spin shite. He wants everyone to think the school is broke so he doesn't have to make real smart cuts.

Under the terms of the new contract, Herman's original buyout of $2.25 million gets extended a year to Feb. 28, 2019. The buyout is $2.5 million prior to Feb. 28, 2017. However, the $2.5 million buyout gets reduced by 25% if a planned $20 million indoor facility project is not approved by Houston's board of regents by Sept. 1, 2016. The $2.25 million buyout gets reduced by 50% if construction of the indoor practice facility isn’t at or near completion by Dec. 1, 2017, and reduced by 75% if the facility isn’t at or near completion by Dec. 1, 2018.

he went from 2.5M to 2.8M and the buyout is like 3M

money would certainly not be the issue. Bigger issue would be he gets real money and stays in Houston if they go to the Big 12.

fwiw even with the money to do it, I'm not sure we would drop the kind of money needed to bring him in. He is awesome and we all know it but his resume is short. Its fricking stupid but it is what is. I think LK is the most logical choice at this point. Once you get past LK you have Fedora at UNC and then I don't see much i would want.

I honestly wouldn't be mad with the hire. He's impressed me with what he's done at Bama. If we can't get Herman or Jimbo I'd be for it. It would be a risk but if we could keep O and Aranda it could work.

why he is a younger les miles? he is a good ball retard. I think him coming in after Saban would be alot like miles after saban. You take the hard arse process approach and it works for 3-4 years after because of senior leadership until it finally trickles away. Then you get the puzzling losses and the no changes.

Dabs has never impressed me.
