Everybody did. But ad's rightfully are afraid of him in charge. He's shown his coaching abilities. But skills were never lane's problem. Even though he's not allowed to talk to the media, he's still shown his immaturity on Twitter over the last couple years.

He's a high risk/high rewards type hire. No major program wants to take that risk until he's proven his maturity without Saban.

Too bad he's in Boca, unless he has a granny fetish. Then he's golden.

It's obviously not a very good job, but it seems that he's still a bit of a toxic hire as a HC. He needs to prove himself on some level before any bigger school is going to take a chance.

He better hope it works out, though, or he just set his career back about five or six years.

He deserves it, especially after USC and Tennessee. I'm glad he is at a shitty program.

Butch Davis at FIU adds an interesting dynamic to all of this. Will be interesting to watch if they can be simultaneously successful.

I'm told that Lane Kiffin plans to remain as Alabama's offensive coordinator throughout the College Football Playoff
Bama fans will now blame him not caring on the offense losing it for them.

Low expectations in a sub par conference. He should be able to bring in some great athletes. All he needs to do is show he can control himsel and run a program heading in the right direction for two or so years and he will get his P5 job.

And you know he can recruit the hell out of the state of Florida.

It tells me that the rumors about Saban telling Kiffin to look for another job next year were likely true.

It shouldn't. What the last week has told us is that if he wants to be a HC, this is where he has to start back, since UH and USF wouldn't hire him.

As far as I'm concerned, the rumors about Kiffin not being allowed by Saban to come back are nothing more than that...speculation by media people and message board posters.

Not sure about his choice here.

Why not, clearly being OC at Bama wasn't an avenue to a power 5 job or it would have happened this year. He needs to prove himself as the head man it seems and another year of OC wouldn't have done much to up his stock IMO.

he's had his fill of coeds at Bama. Fau likely has a lot of local ditzy broads looking for attention by a "celebrity."

nice.
