He is a grandparent now, that will soften most people.

He's going to Athens and he'll put Spurrier in to early retirement.

I knew Saban would keep Kiffin in line. Sort of like MJ with Rodman.

What Kiffin has done with Sims is almost unbeleivable. I would love to see how he developes the next QB. Im not sure he will be around long enough either. Its crazy how one season of keeping quiet has changed so many peoples opinions of him.

Oh yeh, Laylas Hot.

Lane has always been an outstanding QB developer and play caller. That's like 1/100th of what it takes to be a great HC though.

for a minute, I thought you meant Kiffin had a grandkid.

For a second, I thought he meant Kiffin was his grandkid (metaphorically speaking.)

You sir are correct, and Im not saying he is ready for another HC job. But he will get another chance soon, and probably at a big time program.

I think he's referring to Plaxico Burress.

Im not gonna touch that one, cause soon as I do Saban will retire and you know what happens then...
But I would laugh a little.

I'm still not buying that Kiffin's been great for Alabama. This isn't meant as a swipe at Alabama fans, but I think your offense is a liability to your defense now.

It's been a surprise

But

It's still only been a year....losing the two games against Arkie & LSU (that they should have) and it's an entirely different discussion we're having.

You can equate it to the luck AU had in 2013 (versus UGA, Bama, etc).

Yea, that's part of it. Alabama lost the TOP in several games late this year and I have to think that's very unusual.

I don't think Kiffin is a bad OC, but I still don't think he's accomplished anything worthy of the accolades he continues to receive and I still wonder if Alabama would be better off without him.

try to keep up dipstick. this thread is about Saban's turnaround. I never said Kiffen wasnt a douche. to the contrary, if you could read you would see where I stated he was a snake. you still cant deny 2 things about Kiffen this year. he made Bama's O much better and Saban lightened up with him on board. GD where do you people come from?

Still melting, I see. While there is no doubt Bama COULD have lost to both Arkansas and LSU, they did what championship teams do and found a way to win. If you recall, in 2007, LSU needed a John Parker Wilson fumble late in the game against Alabama to seal a hard fought 41-34 victory. There was a much wider talent gap between the teams in 2007 than in 2014. By your rationale, LSU COULD have easily lost that game to an inferior team. But they found a way to get the win on their way to the national title. See how that works?
