It doesn't really fit imo. I think his next job is a HC gig with a major college. If he goes to 49'ers and loses there with a previously fired coach he's finished. There will be more schools looking for HC's next year.

The guy is not leaving Saban unless it's for a HC gig

Even if, for some reason, he did want to get back in the NFL as OC, why in the hell would he pick San Francisco? Their administrative troubles have not changed just because they hired Chip.

I mean come on, this group ran off Harbough.

WG Dawg, you forgot to add that as a college coach, he's had the pickings of prime college coeds at every stop he's made. At S.F. he'd be limited, based on a day to day contact opportunity, to the 49'ers dance squad ladies. Guess it boils down to you preferring college coeds or "older" women.

and? The reasons behind it are irrelevant, the FACT is he was there for 1 season, barely broke even, then left.

So the FACT that he got his dream job offer doesn't matter at all. The FACT that he did indeed improve Tennessee from a losing season to a winning season in one year doesn't matter at all. Sound logic. Only matters that he was only there for 1 season. If you're only at a place 1 season then it's pretty much like he wasn't there at all, and if you do still want to say he was then it must be all negative, FACTS be damned.

He and chip jelly don't exactly have the same football philosophy.

ISWYD, and neither did he and Saban.
The job Kiffin did with Sims and Coker
made some take notice. Whether that gets
him his next job or not...

He and Saban are on different sides of the ball, though.

I think he is a great OC I just think it's an odd fit with Chip Kelly
