Landon Collins is slower than Nick Marshall. If you doubt this, just go back and watch the 2013 Iron Bowl.
Look e'rbody, give the Aub a little attention real quick.

I know, right? LSU doesn't put anyone in the league.

I've seen him projected as high as 6 and as low as the early 20's.

He does not have great coverage, but it looks like a thin DB class.

Mark Barron esque

Good comparison. Barron sucked in the beginning looked like a big time bust, but has settled down into a pretty nice player.

He is going to be a Kam Chancellor SS type player(minus 3 inches and 15lbs). If people compare him to a FS thats unfair to the kid. Just not his skill set. The film will show he had to cover plenty of field due to him doing the job of both LB and DB at the same time thanks to a fat Trey Depriest.

Eh, lots of NFL SS run 4.6 - 4.65.

True but Landon better have times in that range. If he gets up there over 4.7 he'll drop.

any safety who runs over a 4.7 will drop ...

No doubt. A 4.6-7? Lol. He'll run a sub 4.5.

I'm guessing Wonderlic score will be even lower than his 40 time.

But he will still go in the top 10.

A lot of guys come up with disappointing official times at the combine because of the electronic timing. Forget about hand times at summer camps.

Landon Collins does not run a sub 4.5. You can tell that just by watching him. He's somewhere between there and 4.65.

Don't care if he chose Bama over LSU..He obviously made the right decision.

But, I just don't see the hype surrounding this kid. Top 10 pick? Really?

I would be shocked if he went top 10 in the current 4-5 wide shotgun NFL offense.. his skill set just doesn't seem all that valuable.

That being said NFL loves themselves some potential and the guy is a physical talent
