The emotional thing to do is kick guys like Collins out to maintain our pride. The rational thing to do would be to welcome him and any NFL player from Louisiana so we can shore up relations with high schools and players across the state.

Just my take on it.

I'm not gonna sit here and badmouth Collins while trying to play "holier than thou" with the gumps. I'm gonna own it. The point is: Collins was a home grown kid who chose a bitter enemy over his home. I will NEVER forgive him for that. And y'all gumps can pretend like y'all would be better if the tables were turned, but you're lying to yourself. I also feel the same way about Dylan, Cam, and a few others who spat in the face of La, and chose frickin bama. To me, they are poison, and I dont want them anywhere near this state or school spreading their ilk and betrayal and wearing it like a badge of honor in our faces while people, Louisiana people, steadily feed their pride and egos by telling them how great they are. That's just validating their betrayal!!! Not me! It may be petty and all, but I can't pretend they don't disgust me... and I won't. We had the best team of all time when Collins shirked us, so there are NO excuses. Forget him, Williams, Cam, Dylan, Hootie, and all of 'em. They Bama Gumps for life and don't need to be anywhere near our facilities!

Own it, it might not be the PC thing to do these days but most people I know here feel that way. In the South where states like Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia and northern Florida are indiscernible from one another we are different here for better and definitely worse. We tend to grab onto our guys a little tighter and never forget them. So you people may be liberal, feel good, love everybody types but we grow them a little tougher here in the boot. And yes he went to a rival fricknuts. Remember we are talking about a Louisiana thing on an LSU board so what you think about our situation accounts for exactly shite.

So pathetic. He chose to play for a school that wins championships and for one the greatest college coaches of all time, and yet he's the selfish one. He was choosing what he wanted to do with his life which doesn't pertain to anyone else on this board. I personally wouldn't care if a top Alabama player went to an out of state school (happened numerous times before) because it's not my huge life decision.

He did? Must be an LSU perception.

...But you see no problem in pulling Jacoby Stevens and Jacob Phillips out of TN, Austin Deculus and K'Lavon Cahisson out of TX, or Grant Delpit out of FL.

Jamal Adams, who has been brought up a number of times in this thread, is from Dallas.

Thoughts? Good to see him supporting the local guys.

He may just be an all pro safety working with the staff to evaluate LSU talent or this could be another way to rub the fact that he always was the man in LSU face. Dude truly blessed on the football field.

Yea, that's why he has the guest badge from LSU around his neck.

5 pages of every Bama poster posting says otherwise.
We're defending one of ours. It's justifiable wouldn't you agree?

Looks like cooler heads prevailed and the LSU folks did the rational thing. Collins had a Guest badge around is neck, he was obviously allowed into the facility.
