Jamarcus had a great Sugar Bowl performance against Notre Dame, on top of an otherwise decent college career. But to blame LSU for both the salary scheme for rookies as well as Bama players deciding to return for another year seems to be a bit of stretch. Blame the Raiders, if anybody.

He was 21-4 as a starter (better than decent), and, if anything, his first year to play was severely mishandled by Saban. Jamarcus was clutch.

It is to be noted that since he had Jamarcus and Marcus Randall his last year at LSU, Saban has gone on to sign a different "style" of quarterback to lead his teams at Bama. By "style" I mean affluent, intelligent, private school kids.

While he didn't make the impact most thought he would, he ended up playing about a decade in the NFL while your boy Jamarcus was an embarrassment to LSU and spent his time sucking sizzurp.

Due to Russell, players now have to pay their dues and perform in order to earn their money once they hit free agency after 4 years.

You write this as if it is a bad thing. I agree that Russell was probably the biggest bust in NFL history...he stunk it up and acted like a fat punk in Oakland.

However, everyone in the "real" world has to prove themselves before getting paid, why not those entering the NFL?

To the Bama fan that chimed in, I can only say to enjoy the ride yall are on...it's impressive.
However, nothing lasts forever and the pendulum will most definitely swing back to balance the series...always does.

See, this is the pendulum swinging back. LSU being a national power during the 2000's was the aberration.

No, Just no. Bama is on a nice run, I will admit that. However, the day of reckoning for your program comes right soon. All teams cycle back, it's inevitable. Momentum shifts are a fabric of college football. Bama loses too much talent, and this year will see your team lose 2 to 3 games-- Ole Miss, LSU and possibly USC will all beat the Crimson Tide. It's just the natural order of the world. I'm sorry, I don't write the rules, I only abide.

Our number 1 recruiting class and hiring of the best defensive coordinator in college football have sealed your fate. So it shall be, it shall be so. Prepare accordingly.

With as bad as you guys are melting this early into the off-season, it is going to be fun to watch and laugh at for the next 7 months.

You should know how "being laughed at" feels.

LSU is killing it on the recruiting trail, E'erbody coming back, new D Coordinator, etc.

No melt here baw
