The Vanderbilt-Tennessee series is a more competitive rivalry than watching Les get outsmarted by Saban every November.

We're honored you still consider us a rival. I was very concerned with the way the players spoke about playing Alabama on the local sports news. They were putting Alabama on another level and acting like it was an honor to play them.

I agree. The Bama-UT rivalry exists because for many, many years, the winner usually also won at least a share of the SEC championship, so it was the biggest game on both schedules and often in the conference overall. Nowadays the Bama-LSU game has taken over that spot, especially since Bama and UT are in opposite divisions and so don't compete against each other directly anymore (and also because the Vols have fallen and can't get up). I hate Tennessee and will always hate Tennessee, but the rising generation of Bama fans will probably see LSU as their second-biggest rival, and I have no problem with that.

I agree with OP. But we don't hate LSU like y'all hate us. Maybe you hate us cause you ain't us

You'd hate us if we won more

Duh

I wouldn't be a CFB fan if I had to pull for Bama

No lie

This isn't a Rivalry. Next season when Saban is in Indianapolis it won't be as big

Is it a rivalry if one of the teams never wins?

Well, you've won two in a row (for the first time in your history) against us, and we still don't consider you a rival. In fact, we'll probably dismiss you as the second tier program you are when we travel to Oxford again next year. Because YAOM.

Rivalry or not it's damn sure more entertaining than watching the dumpster fire we trot out there each Saturday.
