Why can't you put it out there?

The latest rendering seems like the facade is too short. I think that is what is making it look off.

Actually that is an early Populus design. I have seen a pretty current version that I can't put out there but it has a lot of the same feel as this drawing.

Didn't realize Populus was contacted back in 2009 to render designs then.

sorry, just to be clear, when you say it as the same feeling as "this" drawing to you mean the older rendering from above or the new side shot we got today?

They have definitely stole the look. The more I think about it, the more I don't like it. O well.

I'm not sure how you steal something that belongs to you, but in any case, there is a tradition of arches at Kyle Field. They were covered up by the additions over the years:

What no one is saying, is the north end zone is considerably steeper than the south end zone in that pic.

If it is built that way, Kyle will come in under 100K capacity IMO.

That said, it looks very nice!

That design on the last page looks kinda like Olsen Field does now. I'd be totally behind that, it's a very nice look and keeping that sort of continuity would be cool.

The rendering released today also looks pretty good, not perfect but it's also not a final design.

Actually they don't need the South End Zone to be as big as the North to be over 100k. They are lowering the field and adding several rows that go all the way around the stadium and they are adding seats that connect the 4 sides. The South End Zone also has very little seating right now, it's literally just a few bleacher seats that are on temporary bleachers and are just the length of the end zone. Putting in 2 solid decks that go all the way to connect the East and West Decks is a LOT of additional seating.

They are also going to have close to 10k SRO capacity to use is they wish for really big games because of all the concourses.

Look at the corners. Tons of room for standing room.
