Many aggies love to act as if they love veterans more than anyone else due to shite like this. No one has problem showing respect to fallen soldiers. That's a totally separate issue from calling grass a monument.

So if you politely ask me to not take a piss on the graves of your family, I should just laugh at you for being so ridiculous?

Like this one?

Kind of a sick and demented joke if they call it a burning desire to serve.

Why put seats? Aren't they supposed to stand up the whole game?

Yeah that struck me as a poor choice of words.

Bonfire symbolizes the burning desire to serve.

The seats symbolize the 12 members of the 12th man who died in the Bonfire accident.

When you just mix it all together it looks bad, but subtleties matter to us. That happens when you have as many traditions as we do.

Here is what I found odd

Article says

quote:

New plans also include adding canopies to the east and west upper decks and a special “12th Man” section that will remain empty on the second deck of the east stand to represent “the burning desire to serve.”

You then say it is the 12 seats for those who died in the bonfire. I made a comment about the name the article was giving the section was not a good name based on what happened.

I then saw where you and Roger are claiming the newspaper was wrong and I asked you to confirm it. You then go defcon 5 dick mode on me. frick you if you can't have a discussion that in no way was making fun of people dying.

I thought I wrote this. Jenny may want to edit her article then.

How exactly is it funny that we are leaving 12 seats empty on our new stadium to remember the 12 students who died at bonfire?

That's my question

Because the article said it was to show the 12th man's burning desire to serve. If the writer of that article said that, when in fact it is to remember those that died in the bonfire, then he needs to be fired. For someone to mistakenly use the term "burning desire to serve", when in fact it is for those that died in a fire is a pretty big coincidence.

Although individually, the dorky aggie is not formidable, I admit that I'd be intimidated by a ton of you nerds coming at me at once.

In my experience you're all kind of scrawny and disturbed looking, but I appreciate that you'd probably brawl with zeal.

That is the issue.

But hey we haven't had a journalism school in a decade so Aggies are used to shitty written articles.
