Its another morose tradition. I've always thought Aggie games had this negative vibe anyway. Nothing joyous about the occasion.

I'm not being snarky. Its just a contrast to the college football atmosphere at other places, that is fun, spontaneous, and not so god awful serious.

The fight song has always been referred to by me and a few others as the Aggie Death March. Sorry, war hymn.

Its sports. Its not war. Its supposed to be fun.

Maybe she got it from this news release.

LINK

quote:

Sharp announced several amendments to the original plans developed by architect Populous, including increasing capacity from 94,000 to 102,500, adding canopies on the east and west upper decks, and a special 12th Man section that will remain empty on the second deck of the east stand to represent the burning desire to serve. Manhattan-Vaughn also introduced renderings of the scoreboard on the south end of the stadium, projected to be the largest in collegiate athletics and almost twice the size of the board from last year.

Rather than, you know, talking to them... Aggies sure are a classy bunch.

Found this on the San Antonio paper website:

quote:

Sharp added that 12 seats on the second deck at the 50-yard line will be barricaded and always remain empty to honor the 12 Aggies who died in the Aggie Bonfire collapse in November 1999.

This is incoherent nonsense.

No, you're just trolling. It's gonna work, too. Pretty sure at least one Aggie gets the hammer due to this thread.

You and a few others are dipshits. There is nothing dark in the song whatsoever.

You're the one toeing the bonfire joke line. You clearly want to do it. Man up and say it.

A&M has a lot of traditions that are quirky and easy to make fun of, why do people insist on jumping on stuff like this.

"Don't walk on their grass LOLOL, they hate that"

-It's only the grass around the memorial student center devoted to the aggies who fought and died defending this country. Shouldn't be hard to show a little respect.
