Honestly though, who else would Bama hire? "The process" is what got Bama back to the top. Id rather take a chance on Smart not being that great than start all over with a new system.

Long story short, we got on the subject of Nick Saban's replacement and he told me that "Kirby Smart will be just as good as Nick because defense wins championships." So what do you think? Would you Alabama fans be happy with Smart taking the reins after Saban retires or goes to Texas? Yeah, I thought you'd never get that lumber loaded into my truck.
...nice!

Kirby will never make it at Bama. Defensive coaches under Saban don't have a great track record as HC's. If they want to go the Saban tree route, they're better off going after the offensive coaches like Jimbo or Dabo.

Kirby Smart will be offered the UGA job once Richt is gone, and he will take that job

Not sure about this.
If Pruitt turns around defense,
I think Bobo may leave for a HC job , outside of conference.
This would probably be to set up a return to UGA.

It just depends on how long Richt stays, (he will never be fired).
But I do think he retires before long 3 years Max.

I think your probably going to have UGA , BAMA, and USC come open before 2018.

Depending on this year and next.
UGA TODAY
1 BOBO
2 JP
3 KS

IN 2 years. Possibly BOBO and JP switch.

Worst fear is WM stays avg Thru 2014. And. UF makes switch, Chip Kelly leaves for UF , just night marrish.

Florida talent and speed + O offense + Sec D. God helps us all .

Saban isn't going anywhere for a long time. He will retire at Alabama. 7.3 million dollars a year says so.

Why do you think Richt will leave UGA within "3 years MAX" ???????

Fired is one thing... but you said he'll never be fired.

Why would he leave on his own?

I just think he's really setting up for a run the next 3. And them he's done... He's just not type A. I just don't think he ants to coach 25 years. He may, it's just a feeling I get about him.

But he will never be fired, guanteed.

About what Chip Kelly leaving NFL , or how scary his offense would be with the talent that comes out of Florida?

The first I may be wrong, the second I'm not.

I see no reason to speculate until it looks like Saban's departure is imminent.

If Nick Saban retires in two years, Kirby could already be a head coach somewhere, and there will be some new hot name out there that will be on everyone's speculation.

Kirby Smart will never win a natty as head coach at Bama unless it's the year right after Saban leaves and Lane Kiffin is basically running everything.
