For the offense AU runs they need a running QB that can make a few throws. Even if JJ was able to throw passes to the correct team I still don't think their offense would work nearly as well as the past couple years.

The dude has a free ride to an excellent academic institution. He probably slays real life OT9's on the reg. He probably makes more money shaking hands on Fall Saturdays then most of us make in a month.

Do I feel sorry for him that he isn't playing well and people are giving him shite over it? Nah, not really.

Only in your land do you compare Jeremy Johnson with a sophomore that shite his little pants in Auburn last year.

I'm just going to leave this here. Its from a pre-season thread.

Some athletes can operate with pressure, and some cave under it. JJ caved. Feel bad for the kid, but he is mentally ruined at this point imo

The expectations were incredibly high and that may not have been fair.

But honestly, usually if the offense struggles you can't just point to one player as the cause of the struggles. This is one time you can. His awful decision making handcuffs our playcalling and makes our entire offense vanilla as frick, and it's sad to watch.

season but Malzahn has to build his system around him and his strengths and develop him for that system.

Malzahn is the worst at developing QBs. The Wildcat was invented to hide how shitty his QB development was at Arkansas. The only good teams he's had were the result of of rent-a-QB transfers.

Serious question as I really don't know. Is the AU backup qb any good? I'm guessing no as no change was made but how does that happen there??

When Auburn was losing by 30 in the second half, why not put the backup quarterback in?

Would that kill Johnson's confidence? I mean, it couldn't hurt to give someone else a look, could it?

Exactly this.

When I read he said he believes he should be benched, I thought he has lost all confidence in himself.

He'd do better to transfer, sit out a year and get a fresh start somewhere else.

I think it could've potentially effected White more than JJ. If we do change, I'd rather White just start
Saturday.

Let's face it- this kid got saddled with nearly impossible expectations prior to this season. Did anyone not think there was a least a chance this wouldn't be a seamless transition?

He was yapping about throwing for 3000 and running for 1000. Put up or shut up. It's like people saying, "I feel sorry for the Texas kicker". F that. In the offseason he was filming and showing off, doing trick shots and kicking FGs from 80 yards trying to get social media love, but missed a got damn extra point.

Johnson created his grave like all these other crazy arse people.

Their D line is every bit as bad as JJ.

When you keep 1 DT and 2 DE ( one of whom is always hurt) from your 2012 and 2013 recruiting classes, your DL is going to suck big time.

2012- signed 1 DT from HS that medically quit before ever playing and one FCS level DE.

2013- signed on juco DT who is now gone, 1 5star HS DT monty is still here, DE Carl Lawson is always hurt, and Elijah Daniels was a tpos.
