The 38-year-old Kiffin visited with Alabama coach Nick Saban before the Allstate Sugar Bowl "to share ideas and exchange ideas ... [for] professional development," Saban said at the time.

Another Saban lie.
Care to explain or just trolling?

looks like a risky and borderline desperate hire.

Any team that puts Layla back into an SEC sundress has done well

He's got a year, I assume. I doubt Saban's going to let him do anything stupid.
That said, he ran a pretty incredible offense at USC, so I presume he knows at least something about it all.

I like the Kiffin hire. This is not a sarcastic tweet.

Shocking. Comparing a coach to his predecessor, especially when the crux of your argument is based on the turnaround.
What's shocking is trying to compare the Clawfense aka the worst ever to Kiffin just to attempt to make Kiffin look good. And while doing so ignoring the fact Chaney was there with Kiffin and here when Kiffin left. Chaney's offense was better by miles yet not dissimilar enough to even believe Kiffin called much of anything.

October 25, 2014 Kiffin returns to Neyland Stadium.
Gonna be awesome.

This is a feast or famine hire.

Will he be calling plays from an armored bunker on 10/25?

So maybe there was something to the rumors about Saban being unhappy at Bama and looking to go to Texas. But then he decided the best way to screw with yall would not be to leave but to lose the Ironbowl and let your rival win a NC, Stick it to yall for more money and then set the program on fire. He is a crafty little guy.

This situation will only end hilariously, either he beats Tennessee as a coach at Alabama or he furthers the decline at Bama. Win/win

I'm not saying shite.
A lot of idiots here mocked the Cameron hire all offseason.
If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt for a move like this it's Saban.

I can't believe this...The decline is real...

Kiffin is the luckiest guy in the history of football. That dude has landed some top tier jobs and has absolutely shite all over every one of them minus the 2005 season where he had an NFL roster in a weak PAC12. Unbelievable.

look at the jobs Kiffin has landed. He's obviously the best interviewee in football.
He's fooled some smart people into thinking he's a great coach.
