Maybe Alabama's current QB issues can be explained by Kiffen's past projects...

USC
N/A - shared responsibilities with Steve Sarkisian

Oakland Raiders
2007 - Josh McCown - 111 for 190, 1,151 yards, 10 td, 11 int, & 29 rushes for 143 yards and 0 td - 4–12 record
2008 - JaMarcus Russell - 198 for 368, 2,423 yards, 13 td, 8 int, & 17 rushes for 127 yards and 1 td - 5-11 record

Tennessee
2009 - Jonathan Crompton - 224 for 384, 2800 yards, 27 td, 13 int - Lost Chick-fil-A Bowl

USC
2010 - Matt Barkley - 236 for 377, 2791 yards, 26 td, 12 int - Bowl Ban
2011 - Matt Barkley - 308 for 446, 3528 yards, 39 td, 7 int - Bowl Ban
2012 - Matt Barkley - 246 for 387, 3273 yards, 36 td, 15 int - Lost Sun Bowl
2013 - Cody Kessler - 236 for 361, 2968 yards, 20 td, 7 int - Won Las Vegas Bowl

Alabama
2014 - Blake Sims - 252 for 391,3487 yards, 28 td, 10 int - Lost Sugar Bowl
2015 - ???

Bonus stat for those keeping score at home, Kiffen is 1-3 in bowl games smh

We'll see. Hard to argue so far at Bama.

Looks good to me. And lol at acting like Kiffin had nothing to do with USC's QB success under Carroll.

Can you compare those numbers to other offensive coordinators in the SEC? TIA.

Solid bait.

It'll be an interesting year. Our line is still a year away from being near the level of our NC teams. But there should be an improvement from last season. And with this year's D, I think a game manager will do just fine. The worst we've done breaking in a new QB, was win the SEC championship. So things tend to work out pretty well in this situation.

Kiffin still beats having Nuss.

Remember when all USC had to do was score within the 5 yard line to beat ND, and instead of throwing a fade to Marqise Lee four times they get stuffed.
Gotta love Lane Kiffin.

Looks good to me.

Got a halfway decent season out of one of the biggest busts in NFL history and a complete dud of a QB at UT.

We really need a separate "non alabama fans' obsession with alabama qbs "board.

I really don't see the problem...? The only place he really had trouble was the Raiders. Crompton may have been the best job he's ever done as a QB coach.

I don't like Kiffin but he's one of the best offensive minds in the game.

You really did a lot of research on Kiffin...good job! Now what?
All this research and analysis stuff must get frustrating as Alabama comes in time after time and kicks arse & takes names....nothing outruns talent...nothing.

Kiffin is the reason I'm NOT worried. We'll be fine at QB...again.

Now attrition at running back and OL is what scares me on offense but we always seem to have that backup back that comes in and lights it up. Not QB.

2008- Coffee starter but frosh Ingram is a stud
2009- Ingram starts but Richardson is a stud
2010- Ingram starts, richardson plays alot, Lacy is a stud
2011- Richardson, Lacy
2012- Lacy starts, Yeldon is a beast
2013- Yeldon starts- Henry looks like a future all-american
2014- Yeldon- Henry, Drake leading team until injury
2015- Henry, Drake and who will be that stud that no one knows about yet...

This is Nick Saban's team. I'll start getting worried the day he puts a shite show on the field.

if you look up Alabama's SEC titles and then look up who was quarterback for those SEC titles you realize that this isn't a problem

To go with that, JPW led the 2008 squad to a 12-2 record with an SECC appearance and only threw for 10 TDs and 6 INT's. Greg his first year threw like 17 TDs and 4 INTs, and McCarron was like 16-5.
