I think Texas has one of if not the top SOS in the nation at this point.

Not sure if A&M would have 3 wins against their schedule. ND, OSU, and TCU are in the top 10, OU is 10-15, Cal is decent (better than ASU). So then you are looking at a must 3 wins against KSU, Rice, and Cal or an upset of a top 15 team.

No overpaid list is complete without Bob on there.

Oh and aTm is a .500 program all time, Not sure why sumlin would change that.

At least Sumlin is 4-0 in Bowl Games, has been good in recruiting, and has a lot more significant wins playing in a much better conference.

You guys grip onto that Bama win so tight

laugh all you want, but it's true. I'm also not denying that Sumlin is grossly overpaid relative to his results against top tier teams

Aggy record against top 25 since 2012

2012- 3-2
2013- 2-4
2014- 3-5
2015- 2-2
O/A- 10-13
Yep, definitely getting your money's worth.

Sumlin is a decent coach, he is doing what he can. He just happens to coach for a mediocre program that won't win a NC for the 76th straight season; is just who they are. This is as good as it will ever get for them; they are pumping in resources, enthusiasm, overpaying coaches… going all in… this is their full potential.

A good non championship season every 8-10 years is about the most that program is capable of. This is not a flame, just stating time proven obvious facts.

OU win was also a nice one in '12. Last year the USC win and the Auburn win (both on the road) were solid. It's not enough but it is more than some of the others being discussed.

Not happy with the results for sure but it hasn't been all terrible.

pile it on! i'm a big critic of Sumlin and the aggies but I don't think he's as bad as his record suggests. they are going thru a tough time right now and many are piling on, probably because their fans on here deserve it (due to their boastful and condenscending (sp) manner).

their schedule is conducive to a comeback to respectability. sumlin picked the wrong time to convert his offense to a power running squad. mediocre OL and RB's.

Let's wait to see what USC pays him before calling him overpaid

Wow, an actual clever spin on an old yarn.

It's funny how the Aggies bragged all off-season about his overall record and how only Alabama, Georgia, and A&M have 30+ wins since they joined.

When their SEC record since joining was brought up they ignored it.

Ferentz would have topped this list if not for what's happening this year.
7-0 and he now is not the front runner. However, his career approx .500 record against Iowa St is still on his resume.

That is some seriously uninformed bullshite.

There has never been a time when A&M has had all the pieces in place with no other in-conference/in-state program boasting grossly imbalanced and insurmountable built-in advantages. There has never been a time when A&M was not way behind on facilities upgrades and funding, in a conference that provided such shitty exposure and revenue until the SEC move. The upgrades happening right now would have taken at least 20 years or more to get started, if ever, had we stayed in the Big Twatever. This is not 1960. It's certainly not 2002. And we're not even close to being done with the transformation.

Keep pretending things are not rapidly changing. Makes it more fun for me.

Yep, aggie is so important the man had to stick it to them with built in limitations ensuring that they would suck much dick.

aggies, if it helps you sleep any better, ignore the source, but Finebaum on last wk's SEC Game Day program said that he "had talked to his sources high up in aggie land" and was told Sumlin has not reached the hot seat just yet. But, with all the money poured into the new stadium and other facilities, the cost of Sumlin's contract, "they are very unhappy with the progress or lack of same" in the aggie program. Abd with all the knocking of your OC, is not this Sumlin's offense?
