Bama recruits players like that so they can use the excuse that only Bama can beat Bama.
Yeldon's fumble last year almost cost the game against LSU, but instead they beat them four in a row.

They were playing a pretty good defensive line so that was to be expected.

only 3 yards an attempt on 11 carries.

Not that it is much better, but it was 33 yds on 11 carries.
... 3 yards per attempt 11 times = 33 yards

but the kid looked really underwhelming last Saturday night
Mark Ingram
Mark Drake
Mark Henry
The Alabama running backs, per him.

A couple of times he slipped but yeah, not his best performance. Especially not like the game he was having last year before injury.
You mean the game it looked like he was going to have.
He play where he broke his leg was Alabama's 16th offensive snap. He had one catch for 10 yards and 0 official carries in the 2014 game.

He fumbled twice, didn't he?
No, he didn't.
His only fumble of the season was on the kickoff return.

Why do bama backs so often have fumble problems?
Fumbles/game 2014
LSU 1.5
Bama 1.3

Yep my bad, not sure why I thought the run up the sideline was this game.

He was thinking about his freshman year where he torched us probably

No doubt, they are beasts, but it was crazy how many times we just didon't black someone.

Lots of Chris Capps going on Saturday night.

He wasn't really a true running back for us last year. motion outside, quick screen passes, etc. with some more traditional rushing attempts mixed in. That is where he is dangerous IMO (with a qb that can actually lead a receiver and let him keep running up field on a short pass). Tough showing but hoping with more work with our qb's we can get him back in to the right groove in our offense. Has all kinds of talent and the injury is probably still slowing him up a bit honestly.

It didn't look like he lost any speed or quickness at all to me the first two games.
OMs defense mixed with piss poor blocking is why he didn't get going last Saturday.

Do you think he lost a step or two after the injury last fall and just hasn't recovered or what?
No, he looks as good as ever. Ole Miss has a good defense, and we can't decide what we want to do on offense. I honestly don't remember him having a chance to make a play.
