As long as we are enjoying smack talk -

Kentucky is 7-11-1 all time against Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech left in SEC in 1964 and has 5 SEC championships. Kentucky still only has 2.

We also have more SEC championships than Mississippi State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Missouri, and Texas A&M, though expected for Mizzou and Aggies. Ole Miss only has one more than us and Auburn and Florida only have three more.

We are still in the upper half of the conference for championships even though we left over 50 years ago.

Tulane even has more SEC championships than Kentucky.

There's a reason Kentucky doesn't usually make a bowl game.

There is and it's not Georgia Tech.

I really do enjoy having other fans to talk to. The last 2 bowl games we went to were against Pitt and ECU and they dont really have an online messageboard presence so couldnt talk to them. Luckily, this place brings all the fans to one place.

Dont get me wrong. This is a good matchup. If not a great one. This game could over in an 1.5 hours with heavy run teams. GT's defense isnt great and UKs is probably worse but both average nationally. It is one of the better matchups in all the bowls.

Just trying to save the UK from their own ignorance regarding GT. GT is a better program no question.

I think this is the most even bowl matchup, or atleast top 3. Looking up season stats and both these teams are right near eachother in each category.

Yep. We're partying like it's the 1950's.

I'm thinking:

winner: mid 30's
loser: late 20's

Neither defense will put up much of a fight IMO.

Both teams should move the ball in a way that makes this one of(if not the) fastest games in the modern era. We both love to run the ball.

As a Yellow Jacket fan, of course I think my team is going to win. Looking at the matchup on paper, it should be a competitive game with Georgia Tech being a slight favorite.

Look forward to seeing you guys in Jacksonville. If you didn't know, you are the second SEC team we will be playing out of three in a row. We've just beaten Georgia, then we will open the season in the Fall with Tennessee.

We're sitting at 1-0 right now in that stretch. I don't think it's far-fetched that Georgia Tech runs the table and goes 3-0.

You play in the ACC, so no.

Using that logic, GT basketball is a better program then UK since GT is in the ACC.

If Kentucky were the average SEC basketball program that might be the logical.

I expect a tough game and unlike some of my fellow UK fans I think either team could win. I look forward to the 1000 yard rush off.

Point is, it's stupid for anyone to think Kentucky is a better program then GT just cause they play in the SEC (which sucks this year BTW). GT won the Orange bowl just the season before last, Kentucky hasn't won a bowl game in a decade. There is no comparison.

I am looking forward to the game as well, though. Should be an even matchup this year!

UK is a cellar dwellar in a weak arse division in a declining conference. But keep riding those coattails. GT will handle it on the field.

I guess this is what little brother syndrome is like. You and Louisville are twins. Congrats.
