Hopefully we can put up an Indiana type performance against y'all.

Even Missoui fans know that their team is mediocre, and it is really showing now.

Our offense, yes, defense, no.

Our defense is very, very good, especially the line. I'd put our D up against just about anybody. The offense is bipolar and very mediocre. But improving.

I still say, I won't be surprised if we win out. Also won't be surprised if we lose out. I refuse to get excited about a return to Atlanta. As a Mizzou fan, I know better than that.

Kind of like LSU last year going 9-3 and almost losing to the juggernaut winless-in-conference Arkansas 31-27 at HOME at the end of the season?

Glass houses my friend, glass houses.

As I said before, we knew we're in a rebuilding year, so we're grateful just to be in the discussion. Unlike some school's fans, most of ours aren't as easily deluded.

Listen dude, I'm not one of the young delusional fans of a given team. We do have a good defense whether you want to acknowledge it or not. The East does suck arse, but it certainly not Mizzou's fault, we just play the games that are scheduled.

Our offense is ridiculously inconsistent but we have one of the best D lines in the SEC. When we first came to the Rant, all we heard was how defenses wins games, it's all in the trenches, you guys were right as our D has won more games for us this year, they have been carrying the load.

If we make it to the championship game, I don't see us winning it (again I'm not delusional) but it won't be because of our D.

Mizzou are you that Dense ?? MR realized that GA would get stomped in the SEC Game in ATL playing the West Champion. He was kissing his wife and smiling ear to ear after the FL win knowing that Mizz-Lose. will now get beat down from ONE of the west playoff teams. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.

You're likely completely right, but there is no way Georgia should have lost to Muschamp's Gators yesterday, either. "On any given Saturday," as Keith Jackson liked to say.

On the good side of your loss, yesterday increased the chance that Florida may let Muschamp have another year, so there's that.

I predicted we'd go 8-4 this year. Anything else is gravy, IMO. If we get to Atlanta again that would be awesome.

IMO Mizzou has the best line we've played, LSU the best secondary. It's hard to say how good Mizzou's secondary is when Brown didn't even have Towles pass it downfield until late (and only 4 times in the first half).

I think that is going to be a good game.

I am more concerned about our defense though and wondering wtf is happening.

Belle I think alot of that had to do with the fact Towles rarely had the time to pass downfield. We were able to consistently put heat on your QB.

I was also impressed with your D line play, played the run good and also had alot of QB pressures.

Possibly. The playcalling was sketchy at best though. You guys weren't the first team to get pressure and Brown did next to nothing to get another blocker out there to help the line. Could've made a world of difference in giving Towles enough time to sling it a little bit.

For example, the multiple plays running it to the edges against a fast D.

True, but that was our game plan, to put considerable heat on the QB, make him uncomfortable enough to make poor decisions and questionable throws. Your D played alot like our D played, kind of the same philosophy.

I was impressed by Kentucky. Stoops is bringing that team along and they will continue to improve. I see a lot of similarities in the programs styles, tbh.

Unfortunately, I don't think he even had much of a chance from a playcalling aspect to even get it down the field sans a couple times late.

Not any disrespect to your secondary, just saying whether it was the pressure or the playcalling it's hard to judge since Towles didn't really get to challenge it much.
