OK.

I still can't figure out why Stringer came off the bench for LSU all year long, you start the game with your best guard on the bench every time.

Doesn't make sense.

Kentucky getting some help from Providence, Baylor, and (gulp) Louisville.

Yeah, could be this year.

Mickey (sp?) looks like a future NBA player as well.

And Stringer is a good SEC level guard.

So how does this team fail to win 20 games?

He was benched a few times this season after getting hot shooting. There were a lot of aspects of this season that made no sense. Very disappointing.

The tweak was for UK to play better defense around the rim? Their offense didn't look any different, they just played better and got a lot of second chances.

Offense was much more aggressive. Andrew Harrison had a career high in assists.

The "tweak" was the trapping early on D but they had to adjust when LSU starting hitting from the perimeter.

That and the guards kicking it back out instead of driving full on into traffic and throwing up a wild shot was the biggest differences outside of just better defense.

Deep draft, but it wouldn't surprise me. I saw some CBB writer say the same on twitter.

For sure. Rim protecters are always in high demand and he has nice midrange game.

I got nervous every time he shot.

There was still a lot of this, but just not as often. I suppose there was more ball movement than usual.

There is a difference between Randle doing this than the rest of the team. You are okay with Randle being that aggressive.

It was maybe 1/3 of their usual drive into 4 guys collapsing. But it was definitely much, much better than it has been.

He was a beast tonight. Took him a while to score, but he owned the glass.

We don't have any shooters on the bench. Coleman isn't really a shooter he was just good the last two nights. We wouldn't have any second team scoring.

Oh and Martin isn't going to be a lottery pick anytime soon. Potential is there (measurable and ability) but lazy on defense and floats and gets lost too often.

He still took a ton of terrible shots. He just gets to the line way more than anyone else.

I wouldn't call shots around the rim bad shots. He just missed a bunch a gimmies. It isn't like he was shooting a bunch of jumpers.

A team would still take him if he fit their needs because of the skill set he has.

This part of why the NBA and college basketball has gone down hill. 20 years ago everyone would be in agreement that he would be ready after his junior year, now its how a team would take a chance with him now and hope he develops to the same level 2 years from now. Both parties are responsible for their down fall, but they choose to blame each other, basically.
