I'm warming up to the renovations. I'm a traditionalist and loved how it used to be set up as we were literally right on top of the court. Now it feels like any other arena. But I'll get over it.

I thought they were going to keep it that way, no?

No. I feel so much further away from the court now.

Frick, why did they do that. I will have to try and get to a game this season.

Are the actual banners hanging again? I haven't been there since it reopened.

They had new ones made that are much smaller and now hanging on the cement wall at the top of the arena like the other banners were. They took out a lot of the banners of NCAA appearances and such as well.

This is awesome. Are they doing this now before every home game?

Kentucky did it back in 2012 as well for Big Blue Madness. Pretty cool in person. I'd imagine it's too pricey to do for each home game.

It's amazing how much that Kansas/Kentucky intro chapped your arse.

So word from the inside: That was temporary and more of an experiment to see how the crowd would like it. It's apparently VERY expensive to permanently install, but something they will consider doing in the off-season.

I have to admit that was pretty cool. How do y'all feed those alligators below the court?

That was pretty great. Maybe 100 years from now Vandy could do something like that.
