Brothers should've been on there. Jalen Reeves Maybin has also made a strong case to be on the list.

Brothers is a beast and should have been on that list, no question. What a joke.

Does it really matter? Ragland got this award sewed up! How in the hell did the Bama coaching staff talk him into coming back for his senior year is beyond me.

Last year he wouldn't have been a 1st RD pick but this year he has a much better chance.
Brothers not being on there is complete bullshite.

Brothers (Miz):
103 tackles
7 TFL
2.5 sacks
2 INT

Reeves-Maybin (UT):
73 tackles
10.5 TFL
4 sacks

Floyd (UGA):
44 tackles
6.5 TFL
3.5 sacks
1 FR for a TD

Morrison (UF):
60 tackles
7 TFL
1.5 sacks

Ragland (Bama):
71 tackles
5 TFL
2 sacks
2 FF

The two best linebackers stat-wise were omitted. I think Ragland has earned his nomination, but JRM and Brothers are more deserving nominees than Floyd or Morrison.

I think the guy is a damn good LB, but his stats are incredibly inflated because he's on the field all day (because the Mizzou offense blows). Every year Kentucky and Vandy have LBs with more tackles than Bama or LSU LBs. Which ones would you chose if you had the choice?

Glad our guys are getting recognized, both have had great years, but Ragland is the best.

Mizzou has one of the best defenses in the country.

Alabama

530 defensive snaps 66.25 snaps per game average.

Missouri

560 defensive snaps 70 snaps per game average.

GTFO

If the defense overall is good/great they are not giving up a lot of yards either. The theory is bunk. Just because the offense is shitty doesnt mean the defense isnt out there getting their own 3 and outs.

Mizz's D is ranked #6 in the NCAA and #2 in the SEC

Pretty good

Also keep in mind they are on the field the whole game.

Mizzou's defense is on the field 6.6 more plays a game than the Mizzou offense so far this season.

Thats not a huge difference.

Well, I'm actually hanging out at Foghorns right now.

Just got out of training and went walking distance to have a few.
