When has he had the talent he would have at UF?

After Kirby, Saban, Richt, Dabo, and Jimbo are done, Kelly will get the leftovers. At least in the beginning, he's going to have to build that team up on mostly 3 star talent before he will be able to recruit at an elite level, after showing some success.

UF has a top ten class....without a head coach?

So no. Kelly's name alone will bring in recruits. That is honestly the dumbest argument against Kelly I have heard. You think he is only getting three stars? Stop.

He had better if he wants to keep up.

Which QB on the UF roster can run Kelleys offense? Dual threat?

Franks is the guy... he just hasn't had good coaching... Then, in year 2, they'll pull the RS off of Corral and he'll be the guy.

He had decent talent at Oregon....granted Willie lined it all up for him. Like I said in another thread....I'm guessing Willie is already hunting for real estate near Gainesville.

He doesn’t need a super mobile QB to have a successful offense. Darron Thomas had like 200 rushing yards the year they went to the NC.

Toney was a QB out of high school.

So he would work wonders in Kelly's offense.

Franks has a cannon, but struggles reading. Kelly has a more simplified offense than Nuss, so it may be easy enough for him to comprehend.

Corral is still on board as well. He may in fact be the best option just like Fromm at Georgia.

Does this board have a "remind me in X days" function?

I'd love to come back to this thread in 3 years and see how well it holds up.

Trembling at the thought of chip at UF. I'd be concerned if my name was either jimbo or kirby.

No question the sec will be more difficult than the pac. I think he gets to the playoffs.

Kelly would be a good fit but wouldn't last long. Florida players under Chip Kelly's "watch" would have a license to commit felonies. ...

Honestly, with all the success Kirby is having - Kelly will be about 2 years behind the 8 ball. Gonna take a while to catch up.

Chip Kelly is a Big 12/PAC 12 type coach. He is not a Urban Meyer or Nick Saban that are able to coach both sides of the ball and recruit.

Kelly is a offense first type of coach. The SEC is more of a defense first conference. He will win games and maybe SEC East titles, but he will lose games that he should win when faced with SEC defense.

Mizzou fans learned this with Pinkels offense first type of team in both SEC championship games.

Urban Meyer is a CEO. Not really a defensive coach at all. Just understands the need for defense.
