no you didn't. But there is only so much you can do towards the end of the season. And you beat UGA with - well you know.

Also why is this upsetting you? This gets said about literally every single team who doesn't start the season out as one of the favorites. Another slight conjured up out of thin air for some reason I don't understand?

Didn't sneak up on us.

Same little team we see every year.

And we owned that arse like we do most years.

So I haven't read the whole thread and don't know everything that's been said so far, and I respect the run that Auburn made. Even with all the breaks, it takes a few to go all the way, whether people want to admit this or not.

I dislike the idea that a run should have been even considered though. People need to remember how absolutely bad y'all were the year before. You lost every SEC game that year.

By the end of the 2012 season, fans of other schools were adopting your asses. Y'all were in some dire arse straights. Half of you were on a god damn suicide watch.

Auburn is a team of remarkable highs and lows, or at least it has been in the last few years, so maybe this sort of thing is becoming predictable. Let's not kid ourselves though.

Maybe picking Arkansas to go to an NC this year would be a little more laughable than taking Auburn at the beginning of 2013, but not by a whole hell of a lot.

Anybody that says that AU snuck up on them, are just using it as an excuse for why they could not handle the HUNH.

Honestly that may be the best assessments on AU ive read on here. Sadly theres way too much sidewalk idiocy on here, and im just a fan. In response to the OP. 3 to 4 loss teams arent ppreseason top 5, tough schedule or not. Ill b the first to say, history is not on Auburn's side even when we ve come in loaded like this year. But the fact remains we return alot of players, unlike 2010. If the defense improves any, look out.

Trying to keep the glory of a miracle season alive. Can't really blame them. They know reality is about to set in. Only 2 more weeks of it.

I said it earlier in this thread, but AU no more snuck up on anyone than Alabama did in 2008. Everyone knew both teams were legitimate by November. The way I see it, the phrase references a 3-9 to 12-2 turnaround more than anything. For thee outsider, that is "sneaking up".

It would be like Arkansas going to the national championship this year. Would that surprise you? It's really not that difficult to follow what they're saying....however, Gus will finally give Aubie some consistency so that won't be the case in the future.

All I know is that Auburn miracled their way to two wins. Easily could've had three losses.

I wouldn't say you snuck up on LSU. More like you were just outmatched by a superior team, coaching, and game plan.

I would agree with this. When we played in September 2013, LSU was the better team. More mature, and we had NO answer for Jeremy Hill, who tore Auburn a new one every time he touched the football.

We got better in the second half, but LSU was the better team...in September.

By November, I think it would have been a different story. Definitely different this year.

I'll give you the Georgia game as a miracle. Not the Bama game. Game was tied and the kick six was smart coaching.

Malzahn called time out when he saw the Bama FG team line up, and put the AU punt return team in. Changed out Ryan Smith for Chris Davis to return. The rest is history. it was a helluva run, but that was not a miracle.

Neither was Miss State. Auburn drove the field and made the play at the end.

I think the OP was talking about the ESPN Talking Heads saying AU will not sneak up on teams like they did last year. Again, the only real team that can make that claim would be A&M. Up until that point, AU did not use the HUNH to the level they played the rest of the year.

The Bama game wasn't a miracle. They had many opportunities to put that game away and didn't do it. Kinda like the Auburn/FSU game. That's why Bama has a new OC this year. After the LSU game, Bama's Offense was inept.

FSU miracled to a win more so than auburn did in the ib. Too bad they don't put *s in the record books to denote miracles.
