Hey we hired a few bad coaches in the 1990s, our whole history is now attributed to a coach hired in the 2000s

we hired 2 bad coaches in the 90's and at least 2 in the aughts with Mike Price being a joke.

You might want to look at my post history. I've never commented on Alabama nor ever been a fan for them. But keep saying it

I stand corrected. We had one chitty coach and one that was over his head.

laughing...fair enough. Would have been interesting to see what Coach Price could have done with his opportunity.

no more successful than MS with that fun and gun throw it all over the place. The SEC has proven that most years you win with a strong D, strong special teams, and a competent offense

LSU wouldn't be LSU without Saban
And Bama would have no additional NC's without Saban.
Stupid logic is stupid.

This is a great hire for Bama. Not sure how his recruiting will compare to Davis's, but as a DL coach I would think this is an upgrade.

I think this is a good hire if true. He had some fantastic dlines with the vikings, especially against the run. Should not skip a beat with him coaching up the inside and lupoi the edge rushers. Don't know if he can recruit

As long as he isn't a former Barner. I cringed every time I saw Ron Middleton in a Bama shirt. Karl Dunbar was a great player and Saban wouldn't bring him in if he wasn't Bama worthy.

Good pick-up......always picking up the former LSU guys, wonder why?
Biggest difference is they are winning multiple NC's with the LSU guys.

That's not just LSU's fault.
Why don't the East teams help out some and beat Bama every once and awhile?
Tennessee in particular

Once Saban trains then it just makes sense to bring them back if you need them!

What was reasoning for Dunbar's firing at Buffalo?
What is interesting is just how fast Saban finds a replacement for a departed coach. Kiffin was hired out of the box, so was DC, Dunbar, etc. Knowing Coach Saban's OC personality, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a three-deep list of replacement coaches for every slot just waiting to be activated.
