Shoot. Hope he's drafted well and is successful. Wished he'd stayed though.

I think another year would have helped his draft stock but you never know.

Bad decision IMO, but good luck to him. Another solid year and he could have gotten into the late first round probably.

I'm sure happy to hear that but I'm sure Saban will just run another fricking storm trooper out there to fill his spot.

Roll Tide look forward to seeing these guys playing in the NFL. I do not think his stock could have risen much with another year.
He and Ro go out
33-8
Won the west twice
SEC champions
National champions
3-0 vs UT
3-0 vs Arkansas
3-0 vs miss
2-1 vs LSU
2-1 vs Auburn
2-1 vs State
9-2 vs SEC EAST
21-5 vs SEC
The previous three years we were
11-13 vs SEC

Guys, IMO this was a great decision by him. Simply because there's not that big of a difference in 3rd rd money and 5th rd money. If he came back next year, he would have been in the 2nd to 3rd rd range. He'll probably be picked anywhere from 4-6 this year. The difference in money just isn't enough for him to stay. Plus, rookies in the mid to later rds make their money off of their second contract, therefore I think this was a smart move by him. It was a business move probably.

I think it was a smart move too but his projections are higher than 4-6, more like late second to third. I have a feeling he won't run a great 40 time though so who knows.

He's started, what, 41 games in a row right? No I don't think he would have improved his stock much next year. The pro scouts have a pretty good feel about how good he is with that many starts.
