quote:This is even a dumber point considering Auburn scored more points against San Jose in three quarters than all but one opponent scored against them the entire game last year
Also, since last year matters SJSU gave up over 40 points five times last year to powers like Navy and Wyoming so that means that AU's offense is nothing special this year

I was very pleased with auburn's performance last year.
I think we over achieved and was very proud of the team. Surprised you as a fellow auburn fan don't agree.

OT, sort of. Would the fighting North Dakota State Bison's have a chance to finish in the top half of the Big 12? They now have two wins over the Big 12 the past two seasons.

who is mad. I'm guessing folks just don't think you're making much sense.
Granted you might have the right outcome, it could still be gibberish up to that point.

They are right there with KSU having knocked off power Iowa St as well.

That's two Big 12 conference wins for them this year. They'd torch Kansas. Make that three.

and the other drive came with 6 minutes left in the game with Auburn up 59-13.
That was the drive where SJSU found themselves. Undefeated the rest of the year. book it.

Kansas State will keep it close until midway through the second quarter.
Auburn 45
Kansas State 21
Aubs, y'all are the least talked about #5 ranked team I've ever been around. I'm sure y'all like that, right?
Y'all look really sharp. CAP hasn't missed a beat and picked up right where Tre Mason left off.
I greatly admire Kansas State and Bill Snyder, but whip that Big XII arse

No disrespect intended but I don't think there's a coach in the country as overrated as Snyder from year to year. I keep hearing how great he is and then K State does something great once every ten years. I realize the man gets a lot of credit for doing more with less, but less is still less. Auburn has the high end of a large talent gap and I'd venture that Malzahn is a better X's and O's coach (which isn't an insult, I think he's better than 90% of the coaches out there).
55-17 Auburn.
You're overlooking K-State's history. They've been playing football since 1896. Prior to his arrival, they'd won 9 or more games exactly once. With him at the helm, they've done it 12 times. They'd been to one bowl in their history and had only 4 winning seasons in the last 50 years. With him there, they've gone to 15 bowls and had winning seasons in 17 out of 22 years.
Comparing Auburn to K-State isn't fair. Auburn's got a much richer history of success and talent. What he's done at K-State would be like someone turning Kentucky into a perennial SEC contender.

Snyder is a great coach. One of the best coaches in modern history, considering where he coached, and a true ambassador of the game.

I think this is how it goes as well. I got no issue with the pub or lack there of we are getting after two weeks.
And we def respect Bill Synder...he is a fantastic coach.

I could run for 150+ yards behind y'all's offensive line and I'm a 6'0, 180 lb. caucasian male and slow as frick.

Yes, I'm Tre Smith.
Forgot about that guy.
Wasn't he at Auburn from 2002 to 2006? How did he get five years of eligibility?

Which is great. But again, nothing close to the level of success Auburn has achieved over the same period, not that anyone was making that comparison. I'm just saying he seems to get rewarded for the mediocre even though their 'bad years' were 25 years ago. I know KSU people love him but it's still - objectively - a middle-of-the-road program.

Of course not for purposes of bragging, but when people start posting dumb threads about how K State can hang with Auburn it's worth mentioning IMO.
