I still have quite a bit of faith in Dobbs. He struggled, as a true freshman, trying to lead a really, really bad football team. Another year under his belt, and I'm guessing he comes out looking like a new player in 2015.

Peterman did not beat out Dobbs, this is 100% about having him ready for 15, 16, and 17.

Not to mention that Bajakian did him zero favors last year. Throwing 45 times at Mizzou in his first ever start was insanity. The Vandy game was terrible too but we were fricked as soon as it was confirmed that North was out.

In fairness here's what your coach said:

@DavidSPaschall: Richt on last week's close call over the Vols: "Time is going to prove that they're a very good football team."

Richt also said this about the Vols...

“They're...playing extremely good football, and especially offensively they are...They’re doing an outstanding job...They’ve got a vertical passing game that I know I envy. We like to throw it down the field, but they can really lay it out there good."

..in 2012.

You realize we currently have basically zero of the same players and coaches we had in 2012 right?

What I realize is that Richt has an annual habit of making statements building up the Vols when the reality usually ends up being that the Vols just really aren't that good. Sorry if that went over your head.

Idk who these guys are but their logic is terrible. We just lost to UGA and 3 days later they claim we re the best team in the east?

Sound like some wannabes

Uh...that was one of the best offenses we've ever had. It's a shame it was wasted because of Sal Sunseri and Derek Dooley, but we almost beat Georgia that year, and if we had a remotely, REMOTELY competent defense, a halfway competent defense, that's a 9 or 10 win team.

I know, if ifs and buts were candies and nuts...but what Richt was saying about us being "extremely good" on offense was true.

However, on being the best team in the East this year? Pump those brakes.

How is this funny? Tennessee was very, very good offensively in 2012. We had to score 50+ to win that season though.
